Roose Bolton, a superhero?

Dracula is for vampires what James Bond is for spies, what the Joker is for archenemies and what Superman is for superheroes. We know Roose Bolton has some elements of Dracula: his goth castle, his "thing" with blood, his penchant for torture.

Roose Bolton in Game of Thrones looks like Daniel Craig and we all know Roose is the king of cunning and subterfuge and is a cold-blooded killer, all qualities necessary to be a spy with permission to kill, like James Bond.

Roose is methodical and patient but also worship chaos and likes to play with men, qualities that the Joker possess.

So logic dictates that if he is all these characters merged into one glorious fictional manifestation he must be a superhero too.

The problem is: Roose is not the most heroic person. But someone in this forum has said that he/she thinks that if Stannis wins the war and invades Winterfell Roose will simply take a huge wing made of human flesh and fly away safely for the Dreadfort. So there you go: Roose has the equivalent of a superhero's cape and likes to give family-friendly advices, like eating healthy food and not overplay your... position, much like He-Man.

Let's not forget he is also a magician who uses ice magic. That makes him half-Other which gives him elements of Sidhe and Elves.

So the idea of this thread is that Roose was specifically created to be the congregation of many archetypes, the ultimate character. Thoughts?

No, the real question: Is Jon Snow Jesus Christ? He has a long face, he was betrayed by members of his brotherhood, he will die and then be resurrected, and he is associated with the number 3 (3 heads), he constantly sacrifices himself for the good of mankind, he keeps a whore around him (albeit a male one) and he is ultimately on a righteous path, despite having sinned in the past.

The disturbingly hilarious mental image of this, made the thread well worth reading

Maybe. I think the books will end with an anvilicious note about how only Christianity can save, much like Crime and Punishment after hundreds of pages of moral and emotional complexity. So Jon Snow will be revealed to be Jesus Christ.

Perhaps Jon Snow is just a systemic anomaly that will ultimately reveal itself as both beginning and end. Har!

The Bolton family's animosity with the Starks is deep, and I admire Roose's ability to exploit the war to raise up his house. I fear, for his sake, that he took the short view, and not the long view with his dealings (actually pretty myopic, with regards to the rest of the North). I expect he, and his family, will pay quite the price in the end. He's tied his horse to the Lannister cart, and they are most likely headed for a very bumpy road.
