i haven't really seen this in the forums yet and if it is i apologise but it is worth giving a thought that with Tyrion now being next in line for Casterly rock and thus being the lord of it that makes Sansa the current Lady of chastely rock, will be interesting to see how that progresses

Tyrion isn't heir to shit anymore. He was found guilty of Regencide, and was sentenced to death. If he came back and the Lannisters were still in power, he'd die. Sansa is in hiding because she's wanted for being accessory to his crimes. She has no claim. The Rock is Cersei's then her childrens.

Tyrion is a convicted kingslayer and kinslayer, who furthermore killed his father. Thus, he has no claim.

Therefore, why Cersei is listed and referred to as Lady of the Rock in afoc and adwd.

but tyrion did not commit that crime and it is only a matter of time before little finger is found out, cersei has no power anymore

He was still found gulity and he did kill his father.

cersei has zero power anymore, why do you think GRRM bothered to write how one of the most influential women in the north married an heir to chastely rock!

To show us that Tyrion has the backbone of a jellyfish?

Wives have no claim to their husband's lands and Tyrion as an attainted traitor and kinslayer has no claims at all.

Because marrying Sansa to a Lannister is an obvious powerplay that Tywin would perform.

wives have a large amount of power as shown by lady arryn and how she continued to rule the eyrie until she was murdered, just saying it would be an interesting route to go with sansa as she doesn't like being in the eyrie and would also complete the lannisters fall from power

they already have her as a hostage they don't need to give her the lands of one of the most powerful houses

Why wouldn't Tywin want to give more power to his house? Furthermore, according his stance Tyrion doesn't have any claim or lands for future before marrying Sansa.

Tyrion was found guilty of regicide and was given the death sentence. Therefore, the rock goes to cercei and tomen is the heir (tho tommen would be king and would decide either Marcella is heir to the rock or tommens second son would be heir to the rock). If cersei is to lose her trial but tommen retains his kingship, then tommen takes over as lord of the rock with Marcella as his heir (or he could just give it to her). If cersei loses her trial and tommen is declared a bastard, then the rock is given to lancel (as the next male heir). But in the end, it all depends on who ends up on the iron throne. If it's dany, she might give those titles/land/income to a completely separate house... Making all this speculation and inheritance law stuff moot

How is he giving Sansa more power by marrying her to the hated imp, who hasn't have any claim to anything?
