So far everytime Eugene opens his mouth I have laughed. Might be because I am drunk, but so far I'm liking his character. The Whole I'm smarter then you line to Abraham, which shut him up, was priceless.

I will say though, all in all I found this episode slow. After the first guy sleeping on the bed, I understood Rick was in danger, and then it just kept going and going.

My zombie weapon of choice is going to be a longspear

I know right? Why aren't spears used more? Only time I saw a spear used was Glenn and Maggie when they found the prison, and Glenn stabbed one in the chest so Maggie could go for the head shot, perfect teamwork.

You would think have a year and a half of this that simple weapons like this would be in use all over the place. Only thing better is a crossbow, or a bow.

Exactly.

Because I can't help but think its still not a good idea to get zombie blood and guts all over you.

Yeah, so far the best weapon seems to be a 2 inch knife... I mean come out, any kitchen has better knives. It's little details like that drive me crazy. Also why so gas still around? Gas expires, after a year, in good conditions, it begins to break down, and modern engines aren't able to take it. A year and a half in rust filled tanks, without forest fires, and what not, and somehow everyone still has enough to drink whatever they want, even military trucks which aren't the best on gas to begin with.

Firearms should be saved for last ditch efforts, or against other humans, and bows, spears, or any other melee weapon should be used against walkers. Hell why aren't the riot gear from the prison used more often? Bike leathers? Anything that can stop a bite. I guess I just have to not think about stuff like that haha.

re-watching it right now, and I do feel like all the carl/michonne stuff is leading to a Rick/Michonne relationship, which I wouldn't mind at all.

I liked the episode.

What was the deal with the painting? Did the homeowners actually buy that to go along with the cute bunny/flower artwork?? I feel like I missed something there.

And at the end when the guys start fighting off the zombie in the house it sounds like they are saying "she". I assumed that Rick left the dead guy in the bathroom to turn. Do people turn that quickly now?

(Actually, Shane turned quickly, so maybe?). And what were they yelling? I can't make it out and it doesn't list it on the CC :(

Presumably because none of them would know how to make a functioning spear that wouldn't break after being used to spike someones head once. The real question is why none of them are using sledge hammers or for closer range mallets. There would be plenty around and much much easier to kill a zombie and not miss.

I liked this episode for the most part. My favorite scenes were the ones with Carl and Michonne.

But, I have to admit that I found the trio of Abraham, Eugene and Rosita kinda offputting. They are just all too clearly comic book characters. All three of them - with Abraham and his action hero antics, and Eugene with his dopey genius act and Rosita looking like she just stepped off of a porn set. Too much. Up until this point, most of the characters (with Michonne being the lone exception) have at least came off as somewhat regular folks. And that was some of the appeal to me. These three though - nope.

Because only guys like Tyrese could effectively use a sledge hammer in a fight with more than one walker.

Those are my feelings as well. And regarding Eugene, are you telling me that a guy from the South who sports a mullet has no clue how to use a rifle?

This makes me think of World War Z and how in certain parts of Europe people were wearing chainmail to stop bites.
