rivergirl
He'd be an asshole, but the whole disastrous snowball that started rolling when Cersei and Jaime didn't marry Oberyn and Elia would have been avoided because Joanna would have arranged their unions. With the Martells taken, the Targaryens would have married Rhaegar off to someone else, preferably Lyanna just to cut out the middle-wife. So basically, there's no Robert's Rebellion but Tyrion is Tywin 2.0 so there would probably be another rebellion at some point, possibly starting with Jaime being poisoned by Oberyn for cheating on Elia and the Two Tywins being complete assholes together. CrannogXninja
I tend to ponder what if Cersei was born a male, how badass her and Jamie would be together on the battlefield.
Minsc
I don't understand, how does Joanna have anything to do with Jaime becoming KG ? It was Cersei's idea that Jaime should join the order so he wouldn't be able to marry anyone. Joanna was aware of the development of the twincest and obviously disapproved of it, thus she likely would have been able to better step in and put an end to that mess. Thus, Cersei would be less able to manipulate Jaime into joining the Kingsguard.

Minsc
Not really fair considering Joanna died while the twins were still young. Yes? The question was how does Joanne's death help led to Jaime's joining the Kingsguard, and the factor is her death helped allow the twincest go unchecked thus allowing Cersei's manipulation.
