Is there an app other than Tapatalk?

Update Ran. Issue still not resolved. I can access the timeline through the search function. However, once I sign in to Tapatalk, I get a network error. The good folks at Tapatalk say that all seems well on their end however since they are not members of the forum, they are unable to see my issue. Is there another app for iPhones that I can use for this forum?

I'm having the same issue I think. I deleted tapatalk and reinstalled, only to find that any thread I open will read network error. It's been going on for a couple of weeks now.

Edit. Just checked again and it looks like all is good, so nvm.

Just chiming in to say I've been experiencing fuckupery with Tapatalk as well. I honestly don't see how the bug could be related to the forum API. The glitch for me is that I'm signed out altogether if I leave the app at all and logging back in is an absolute nightmare. I have about a 10% chance of getting the app to sign me in with my actual account (which is linked to my Tapatalk ID) and the other 90% of the time I'm just using a sockpuppet for reading purposes. I can log in with the brand-new "Asha Greyjoy Feminist Icon" sockpuppet each and every time I try. I am still logged out if Tapatalk is interrupted at all. I suddenly started seeing this problem around mid-Dec and so it was hard to figure out if this was the app or if the errors were tied to whatever account/password thing happened to the forum about that same time. But given that I have the forced-logout issue even with the rock solid sockpuppet, the glitch seems to clearly be a Tapatalk thing.

I've done the uninstall/reinstall thing twice now. It does seem to work, if only temporarily. I reinstalled about 5p last night and I have been able to actually log in properly and post replies in-app for almost 24 hours. But I fully expect the issue to return. I'm a pessimist.

In the meantime...for those experiencing this or a similar issue with Tapatalk:

1. What device are you using? (Me = Motorola Droid RAZR M or XT907 running Android 4.1.2 and Tapatalk vs 4.3.4)

2. Have you contacted Tapatalk? If so, did you receive a more comprehensive response than "Nope, not our fault!!"? (Contact methods I have tried: via email @ [email protected] [email protected] and their @@tapatalk (<-BBC not working here?) I've browsed but not posted to the online support forums.

If anyone gets better info or a better response about this please let me know. [insert nonexistent "fingers tightly crossed" emoticon]

I don't have an iPhone but if I did, I would probably go with the Invision app.

I think for Android it's really just mobile browser, Tapatalk or GTFO. I've really adored the Tapatalk interface and I can't imagine my already too-infrequent participation really getting off the ground if I'd been restricted to using the mobile browser interface. I'm super frustrated about these persistent bugs and am at least glad to hear it's not just me, I guess?

  • 4 months later...

I haven't been able to figure out how to open anything on Tapatalk, but I haven't tried that hard because I just view and post through Chrome and the mobile site on the iPad/iPhone, which I love - like really, really love. And the reason I'm in this thread is because I'm looking to see if there is a way to get to the mobile site on the computer. I tried adding "m." before westeros.org, but that didn't work. Is there a way to go to the mobile site from a computer? I'm using a Mac and Chrome, but I'm willing to switch browsers.

As far as Tapatalk issues, I'm afraid it's something to take up with Tapatalk. We have updated to the latest release and there's really nothing more we can do on our end.
