How would Sansa and Arya react if they see each other again?

I really hope that GRRM can find it in his heart to re-unite Sansa and Arya.

The main reason I feel this way is because the last time Sansa and Arya were together, there was a lot of friction between the two over the incident involving Joffrey,Mycah and Lady's death.

In other words they separated on bad terms and never had a chance to clear the air.

I do know that circumstances has changed since the execution of Ned Stark and the Red Wedding but, I've always felt that this was one chapter that needed to be closed before any of them lose their life without bonding like true sisters.

Does anyone think that Sansa and Arya will meet again, given their circumstances and where they are currently located?

And if they do, how would they react?

I think if they meet again, it will definitely be bittersweet. There has been a few ideas thrown around the forum about Arya getting a contract to kill Alayne Stone; a name which definitely does not ring a bell for her. She'll travel to the Eyrie and, upon seeing a somewhat-altered-yet-still-recognisable Sansa, she'll then have to make a choice between her old life and her new.

Just an idea though

I don't think Arya sent to assassinate Alayne Stone is a likely scenario , but the whole Arya story arc is something I find very hard to guess from the current point. I wonder how much GRRM has decided on her future path (except maybe the end game - in my opinion dead).

I also don't feel like Arya will ever meet any of her relatives again. Least of all Sansa.

I think Sansa may meet Jon if he survives, or Rickon.

If they did meet I am sure they would be very happy and all the past frictions will go away. I think they both miss each other a lot.

I think a Sansa/Arya reunion would be incredibly emotional and fraught with drama. I can see Sansa somehow recognizing her sister, even after everything, and INSISTING on Arya's true identity and past, with Arya trying to remain 'Cat' and detached-but Sansa finally breaking through to her. If Arya's ever going to reclaim herself, her family is the key.

The Alayne Stone theory doesn't make sense. She is not worth a FM contract. It made perfect sense to get a FM contract for Balon due to the circumstances. If someone wants to kill her it makes more sense/it's more likely that they will do the same thing Joffrey did with Bran and hire someone else to do it.

Anyways, GRRM said that they have things that they need to work out. That's not a guarantee that they will and I agree that there's no guarantee of a reunion. At this stage it's more wishful thinking.

If that happens I think probably they may be happy to see each other but I see them not being close. It would be like the Tully sisters only not as bad (wanting to take another love interest, murder, etc.).

I saw a movie once and this girl went through a traumatic experiences and instead of making the sisters closer it made them farther apart. There was love there and good intentions but the girl could not communicate and the sister did not know what the girl went through. How close can you be if you don't really know the person and what they're true nature is and what they've been through?

Sansa shamed Arya for being violent before and Arya is much worse now. So I don't see those theories of them allying together and Arya being Sansa's hitman panning out. Arya like Bran said will keep her past and current actions secret and will never tell her sister. She will likely tell lies as she's been taught.

I think it may end on a civil level better then Cat and Lysa, but they have things to work out as neither know what the other went through and Arya has no understanding of why Sansa was up on the steps of Baylor.

I know in the show Clegane tells Arya what the bird went through can't remember if it's in the book.

I think working things out refers only to the AGoT events and not who they became and what they went through afterwards. The Hound thing is another strain since he was Arya's kidnapper and Arya left him for dead (we don't know what the Hound thinks of that). Although I doubt shippers will get their wish to have him join the family. He may be killed off yet.

Something along these lines except with more resentment.

Arya's mobility relies on her sister being smart enough to not shout out "Arya" what you just said completely disables her ability to save her sister.

She can see Arya lurking in corner when Sansa is alone with whoever, than Arya can tell Sansa she's "no one"

I want my tearful Stark reunions and you will not ruin them.

He seems to like leaving emotional loose ends. Aemon never saw Dany and never realized who Jon was. Jon and Robb never saw each other again. A living Catelyn will never learn that her children weren't dead and Ned didn't father a bastard. Stannis still has unresolved issues with his dead brothers. I can see it being similar with the Lannisters. If Jamie kills Cersei there's not going to be time to resolve anything. I can see Tyrion and Jamie never being close again if they even see each other. etc.
