If I could be king...

I would elimininate all these archaic political structures and try to build a constitutional monarchy or democracy, thus partly removing myself from the office in the process. I would try to explain how for example electricity works or why an era of reason, peace, technology and sustainability might be a good idea for the future.

And then, within a few hours of doing so, I would probably get killed very brutally...

So anyway... It was nice playing the game ^^

Queen: Sansa Stark

Military Commander: Randyl Tarly
Hand of the King: Ned Stark
Master of Laws: Stannis Baratheon
Master of Ships: Victarion Greyjoy (lol)
Master of Coin: LF
Master of Whisperers: Varys

I would focus mostly on building the economy and infrastructure of the realm, also investing a lot into improving science and technology, especially medically wise.

Queen: Olenna Redwyne

Hand of the King: Roose Bolton (Peaceful land, quiet people)

Master of Whisperers: Ramsay Bolton (He can get info out of people effectively)

Master of Coin: Ser Shitmouth (He did well governing Harrenhal for short amount of time)

Master of Laws: Lame Lothar Frey (Impressive in his contribution to Red Wedding. Welcome to small council Lord Lothar)

Master of Ships: Left-Hand Lucas Codd (One of Euron's main men)

Lord Commander of the KG: Gregor Clegane (Second in command of KG is his brother. Just for the laugh)

Commander of the Gold Cloaks: Cleyton Suggs

The Kingsguard:

Lord Commander Gregor Clegane

Sandor Clegane

Ser Walder Rivers

Ser Hosteen Frey

Walton Steelshanks

Rafford, the Sweetling

Ser Amory Lorch

Still better than Cersei's

Queen: Margery Tyrell (I'd be the first king to successfully bed her/knock her up)

Military Commander: Ned Stark (Best commander in the series imo though I have little to base it on of course)
Hand of the King: Jon Arryn (Did a damned good job with Robert)
Master of Laws: Oberyn Martell (Think of the fun stuff he would come up with)
Master of Ships: Stannis Baratheon (Fair Isle enough said)
Master of Coin: Tyrion Lannister (He's smart and as a Lannister has a lot of experience with money)
Master of Whisperers: Wyman Manderly (Knows who the spies are in his own city should be good enough with better infrastructure and he's loyal)
Grand Maester: Maester Luwin (Best Maester we've seen other than Cressen)

Queen: Margaery Tyrell (The Reach has a total Military Power of almost 100,000 men alone)

Hand of the King: Tywin Lannister (Does a pretty ruthless but effective job)

Master of Laws: Eddard Stark (honourable, dutiful with strong views of justice)

Master of Ships: Stannis Baratheon (look at his track record)

Master of Coin: Tyrion Lannister pre-ADWD (nuff' said)

Master of Whisperers: Wyman Manderly (don't think that needs explanation)

Principal Military Commander: Randyll Tarly (seems decent. This was tricky. I could have put the Young Wolf or his generals since they were never beaten on the field, but...)

Been here, done it, but lets go! This is assuming the Olligarchic monarchy begins after RR or equivalent.

King Olligarchy, the First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm!

Queen: Cersei Lannister

His Small Council:

Hand of the King: Lord Tywin Lannister, Warden of the West

Master of Laws: Lord Jon Arryn, Warden of the East

Master of Ships: Stannis Baratheon

Master of Coin: Lord Mace Tyrell, Warden of the South

Master of Whispers: Lord Doran Martell

Grandmaester: Maester Cressen

Commander of Goldcloaks: Ser Jacelyn Bywater

I decided to keep Robert, Ned and Balon out of the small council as they don't seem like the kind of people whom would accept or feel comfortable with spending extended time in the capital.

His Kingsguard:

Lord Commander: Ser Barristan Selmy

Balon Swann

Arys Oakheart

Oberyn Martell

Loras Tyrell

Richard Horpe

Godry Farring

Released Jaime Lannister from his oaths to satisfy Tywin and keep him away from Cersei.

I always love this game!

Queen: Sansa in a few years or if I'm forced to marry immediately Arianne

Hand of the King: Tywin or someone like him

I have no immediate candidates for the other positions on the Small Council so I'd probably appoint whoever the queen and Hand suggest.

All in all I'd be more of a commander in chief rather than an actual king as I'm not interested in non-military matters. If my queen is interested in actual ruling however I will by all means allow her to do so.

My only edict as king would be to reform the useless Kingsguard by removing their celibacy vows, increasing their number to at least five hundred men and turning them into an elite military unit, though a chosen few will still perform bodyguard duties for the entire royal family.

Oh and I have a list of people that need to be executed or thrown in the Black Cells.

I would mostly try to surround myself with people who are have a good reputation and are loyal or good, honorable people who care about the kingdom's welfare.  Unfortunately I would avoid Jon Arryn due to wanting to make it harder for Littlefinger to rise up. Which he did in a council that included both Jon Arryn and Stannis.

Queen: Arianne

Hand of the King: Stannis

Master of Laws: Eddard Stark

Master of Whispers: Wyman Manderly and Doran Martell . Yes, I have two masters of whispers.

Grand Maester: Maester Luwin and Samwell Tarly as his immediate subordinate.

Master of ships: Davos

Master of coin: Willas Tyrell

Kingsguard

Lord Commander: Baristan Selmy

Bran Stark (in this timeline he becomes a kingsguard)

Balon Swann

Arys Oakheart

Brienne of Tarth

Loras Tyrell

Bonifer Hasty

Commander of the military: Brynden Tully.

Commander of the guards: Areo Hotah

Septon: Meribald

Master of Whispers: Varys

Master of Ships: Salladhor Saan

Grandmaester: Maester Luwin

Military Leader: Stannis Baratheon

Queen: Dany. because she has dragons. And they are useful. And she's hot. Also Cersei.

Hand of the King: Bloodraven

Master of Laws: Renly Baratheon (I need someone who will interpret them flexibly as I like.

Master of Whisperers: Kindly Man. He will give the gift liberally to anyone suspected of treason.

Master of Coin: Littlefinger. With this company, he'll probably behave.

Master of Ships: Stannis (he'll be useful on the sea)

Grandmaester: Qyburn (who else?), assisted by Melisandre

High Septon: Tyrion Lannister. best to have someone who doesn't care for the faith.

Head of prisons: Joffrey

Head interrogator: Ramsay Snow

Kingsguard

Jaqen H'ghar (Lord Commander, under orders to keep offering all traitors to the Red God)

Gregor Clegane

Amory Lorch

Areo Hotah

Bronn

Strong Belwas

Grey Worm

Hopefully the realm will enjoy great stability.

Call it a young group, but it would keep some of the old habits at bay...

Military Commander: Jon Snow, his defense of Castle Black was exceptional. He may have "died" so should he survive he is free from service at Castle Black
Hand of the King: Tyrion Lannister, I am still mad the chain was left out from the Blackwater episode. He was an excellent Hand of the King, and the only to serve and survive if I am not mistaken.
Master of Laws: Stannis Baratheon, He would know them all and be willing to enforce them
Master of Ships: Davos Seaworth, who is truly better given a fleet?
Master of Coin: Outsource directly to a Bravosi high in the banks, apparently they are better with money than Westeros
Master of Whisperers: Varys, unless I can work out a way to use Bran Stark, maybe Varys for local and Bran for my everything else source
Grand Maester: Samwell Tarly, once a maester he will need an assignment. Young so he will last, and a good person overall.

First Kings Guard Commander, Jamie Lannister.

My Kings Guard would be no longer for life or cause forfeit of lands and titles. The Commander would be chosen among those presented. The members would be selected from Houses during tourneys and special events. In a way kept as a way to include all major houses to reduce the feelings of being overlooked.
Commander of the Gold Cloaks would answer to the Master of Laws and appointed by the council.

The Wardens would have actual power in their areas. Closer to state government. Each Warden would have a representative in KL.

The Night's Watch would have easier restrictions for some brothers (Voluntary) and keep some ways for others (Prisoners/pardons).

For a queen.... I want a septa on the streets and wildling in the sheets.
