Talk about Feast or famine!

All this time there was nothing g but those hideous funko pop caricature turds, and now there will be THREE series of figures I have to collect! I've already committed to the Dark Horse line of figurines and have Jon and Dany on my ASOIAF shelves. And now I have the Legacy line from funko which look really nice. And on top of that, there's the Three Zero line of 1/6 scale figures. Tyrion is absolutely incredible.

Oddly, even though I'll get them all, the Dark Horse 7" line of figurines might be my favorite. I have no use for articulation as I just display them. Articulation usually just compromises a good sculpt, so I'm fine with little plastic statues. The 1/6 line will LOOK better, but there will never be that many of them, they are far more expensive, and take up more room on a display. If you're looking to build or complete a collection, House or whatever, it'll never be with the Three Zero line. Look to Funko or Dark Horse for that.

It looks like Tyrion is going to be the difficult one to get a hold of. Both my local B&N stores did not receive their orders and the only store to get one is in Colorado. Both stores also only received one of each character :(

Yeah, I think so too. When you do find it, could you please post how much you got it for?

I found all but Tyrion at B&N. Dany & Jon are being shipped. I like these figures... I think they did a good job for what they are - which are not $300 collectible hand painted figures. They are $20 action figures to be posed and played with. Of course I'm a child of the 70s where none of the action figures looked like their movie counterparts ;) These look a lot like the actors IMO.

*Photobucket is wacky and showing them upside down and not cropped - boo!

Brian posted this on the FunkoFunatic site:

Funko is proud to announce of first ever line of premium action figures.
It's a shame we could not release this information the correct way, but things happen.

I will let you all in on a scoop, that is series 2 will be shown for the first time at Toy Fair.

So you will see a New Daenerys(mother of dragons outfit), Khal Drago, Jamie Lannister, Robb Stark, Arya and Brienne!

Damn. In 12 figures to Dark Horse's 10, they will not only surpass DH in quantity of figures, but also be offering two characters DH won't have at that point (The Hound and Brienne). It's going to be interesting to see which company stays ahead of the other in output.

Yeah, but personally, the Dark Horse figures are just amazing. I think it has a bit more similarities to the actors and actresses then the Funko ones do. (like the Daenerys and Ned) but they each have their pros and cons I guess.

I would probably only buy the Jon Snow or Jaime.
