Gonzalo
One of the Barristan chapters from The Winds of Winter states that the Kingsguard do have a a symbol: seven silver swords encircling a golden crown. The Kingsguard white sigils in the articles should be altered?
Rhaenys_Targaryen
Might be. Barristan states Kingsguard specifically, so it doesn't seem as if it's something made up for Dany's Queensguard.
The hairy bear
I don't think so. The fact that there is a symbol does not mean that it has to be depicted in the shield. I would keep the white blazon.
Rhaenys_Targaryen
Is there anywhere specifically stated that the KG sigil is a white blazon? Because if that's the case, it might simply be a mistake in the sample chapter
Ran
While it's an apparent symbol for the Kingsguard -- useful, I guess, to have something when you want to use a seal that identifies you as a Kingsguard! -- the Kingsguard knights always carry plain white shields, and the White Book depicts their blazons as Kingsguard in the same way. I think it'd be useful to depict the Kingsguard symbol in some way, but yeah, white blazon should stay put.
Eagle of Seagard
On the page for the KG I've added both the White Shield and the swords-and-crown sigil. I imagine the swords-and-crown would only appear on any documents issued by the Kingsguard (if any) and possible the cover of the White Book, even though all the KG shields within are plain white.
