Long Term Travel on a Budget

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this is appropriate to post here and I'm not a huge fan of self promotion (in fact I sort of hate it) but I've got to give it a shot. In the last 5 years or so I have realized that my greatest dream while occupying this mortal coil is to travel and to somehow support myself while doing so. I also love to write, and some people even seem to enjoy what I write from time to time, so I figured why not try to be like Wandering Earl (a pretty well known travel blogger who has been on the road for ten years now). Thusly this website was born.

Within the site my friend Randi and I share our blogs, provide articles and tips for how to backpack, how to budget, how to plan your trips, what to pack and so on. Additionally and most importantly we interview some of the amazing travelers we meet on the road. They share their experiences and motivations for their journeys. My goal here is to show people who want to travel on a budget and who don't know how that it's actually easier than it appears.

So once again sorry mods if this is not allowed. I guess feel free to delete. I reached out to Ran but have yet to receive a response and patience is a virtue I'm still learning.

Without further to do http://www.Justapack.com

The site is not optimized for mobile phones just yet but looks as we intend it look on laptops and tablets. We will be adding content almost daily, and will be working very hard to fill up the "how to backpack" section with more info, both gathered from outside sources and our own experiences.

Thank you. We appreciate and are humbled by your clicks and page views.

Just peeked in, but it looked gorgeous. Definite eye candy.

My secret dream is to hike the Appalachian Trail 2-3 weeks at a time over the course of several summers.

And the hike through Spain... it's a pilgrimage that starts in France, I saw a movie about it, but can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

I havent done either of those hikes, but a hike through Spain sounds incredible. I've met some French and Spanish individuals in the few weeks ive been in Mexico, i'll ask about the pilgrimage. Does it have a specific name? Thanks for the kind words. Our website building skills are still limited but we are going for a simple, clean look. We hoe to improve the look and feel of the site as time goes by.

i am doing some chunks of the appalachian trail this summer. sadly work will not allow me to do more than a three days at a go. a couple years ago my father lamented never doing something cool like that in his own youth and i have taken it for my own.

relic, good looking site. good luck with your travels. i am pretty envious.

A friend of mine walked the Compostela last fall and it was an amazing experience. I wish I'd been able to go along with her, but it just wasn't possible.

Already liked the Facebook page. Happy trails! :)
