Jace, Extat Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 It's official: The Jets locked up Chris Johnson. He signed a 2-year $9 million deal today. I think this was a no-brainer for the Jets. While Chris Johnson hasn't been the RB of a couple years ago, I think it provides a great one-two punch with him and Ivory. I'm interested in his connecting with Micheal Vick. Johnson is a hugely overrated receiver out of the backfield, but he's also been the only viable playmaker for Tennessee since the days of Air McNair. If I were Rex Ryan, I'd brush up on my offense and create plays that feature the pocket (and Vick) rolling to the left, while Johnson runs wheel routes to the right. Just sayin'.
