Westeros
HBO has let us know of a wonderfully-amusing vignette, narrated by Charles Dance, recounting how David Benioff and Dan Weiss came to adapt George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series into Game of Thrones. It’s definitely just a bit on the comedic side:Very charming! The list of just how many locations, cast members, costumes, and more go into a typical season is a particularly fun set of factoidsVisit the Site! Abaddon
Okay, that's hilarious. I'm pretty tired of the whole story at this point but between the comedic nature of the thing and Charles Dance narrating it... yeah, that was fun.

Newstar
I've heard the story before, but this was very charming. Very Wes Anderson. Loved the paper dragon "flying" over the map, the classical music playing in the background, the fanart featured, all of it. Charles Dance: "I'm Charles Dance. They thought I would be a good narrator."Weiss: "Mostly because we're terrified of him." "They received an edict from George's wife." [screen shows "Don't Fuck It Up" in fancy calligraphy.] The statistic that a given season includes 257 cast members was a bit of a shock. For real? For real?Yep. http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Season_1_cast http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Season_2_cast http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Season_3_cast The starring and recurring actors are mostly the same, but there are at least some 150 different actors with speaking roles. Beric175
Given the number of countries, people involved, advance planning, and finally the time it takes to make them damn thing, I'm always surprised at how good the show is and I feel that when they produced the pilot all those years ago, it probably was with the understanding that people had read the books or were going to figure this stuf out on their own and that's not really how tv works. You have to explain the basics to people either visually or through dialogue (preferrably the former though). Plus, devoting 7 years of your life to do this thing at least shows a lot of devotion. Koi No Yokan
That was a fantastic little video! The promotion they've done for Season 4 has been the most enjoyable it's ever been.

Rrrrrrrreal High Sparrow
That was cool. I like the report card that displays "urge to slap Joffrey" bahaha :lmao: Such a humble little office for D&D, with a nice stash of wine. Also, can Charles Dance narrate my life? I haven't done much, but I'm pretty sure that he could make it sound amazing.
