The Knight of Greenfield
If you had to pick seven knights to be on your kingsguard (out of CURRENT characters, who would you choose) ? Personally i would have:1) Brynden Tully as LC2) Harrold Hardyng3) Stong Sam Stone4) Dameon Sand5) Addam Marbrand6) Loras Tyrell 7) Harras Harlaw
Khal Shaggydog
This is strange - a Harlaw? Never heard of an IB being involved in anything having to do with knights, much less the KG. But interesting thought. You wouldn't choose Jon Snow, who comes with his very own Direwolf?
The Knight of Greenfield
This is strange - a Harlaw? Never heard of an IB being involved in anything having to do with knights, much less the KG. But interesting thought. You wouldn't choose Jon Snow, who comes with his very own Direwolf?Harras Harlaw is an annoited knight so this leads me to believe that he has some kind of honor as well as being a brilliant with his valeryian sword. I was considering Jon Snow but went with Harrold Hardying for the reason of balance, i tries to get a good mix between youth and expierence, leadership and pure skill at arms, hence the likes of storng sam stone. Ghost is loyal to Jon, it doesnt mean he'll be loyal to the throne.
LordReaderRodrik
Harrold Hardying's skill is not well described in the books yet. He wins a small melee but that does not really show that hes good enough to be in the kingsguard. Bronn may not be the most loyal guy out there but he can't be worse than Trant or Mandon Moore, so I say Bronn should take Harrolds place.
TheRainingKnight
Garlan should be there instead of Harrold, probably the best swordsman in Westeros

A Bastard Snow
Jon with Ghost would be the best. You forgot direwolfs can sense when people are intending to do you harm. Not to mention his acute sense of smell hearing and eyesight

Khal Shaggydog
Brynden Tully - can command as a general and fight, also, witty, and not too bad to be around. Areo Hotah - guy is deadly, dedicated, and doesnt have any conflicting loyalties with his house (not having one)Garlan - got to pull those Tyrells into the fold somehow (even though I would be demoting them from their Great House status)Edric Dayne - gotta keep that Dawn aroundStrong Belwas - designated taster, and also handy for any single combats that ariseThe HoundMance Raydar - guy can still fight, he can treat with any foreigners, and also play a nice lute when things are slow
Beorn Snow
Brynden Tully is a good choice to lead.Jon Snow comes with his own dire wolf like Khal Shaggydog said.Bronn would be nice, not for his loyalty but his commentary. I´d drink with him and leave guarding to others.Brienne, because she should be in any KG.Barristan the bold as an honorary member.Sandor Clegane. And Areo Hotah.I´d feel pretty safe. Selyse Barratheon I think this would be truly unstoppable :-).

TheWhiteWolf
Jon Snow (although I would rather he rule. Grey worm would definitely be on the list, I just can't wrap my head around Ser Grey Worm.) Knights of the Kingsguard do not need to be knights, there is precedence for this when The Hound is made a Kingsguard. Besides it's just a title at the end of the day. I would chose mine for honour over skill over arms (we all know where treachery and cowardice get you in the game of thrones) as other wise what's the point in a Kingsguard that wont stay loyal to their King? Lord Comander: Baristan Selmy (Honour and experience in buckets as well as a bit of skill thrown in, the perfect Lord Commander) Knights of the kingsguard:Areo Hotah (Loyalty never in question, obedient and skilled)Jon Snow (Honourable and comes with a Dire Wolf #bonus)Brienne of Tarth (Loyal to the core as well as strong and skilled)Brynden Tully (Seasoned in war and a good choice to lead armies or the Kingsguard in Baristan's absence)Garlan Tyrell (A good man, skilled with the sword and brings House Tyrell with him)Addam Marbrand (Loyal and skilled and seems honourable, for a westerling...) TheWhiteWolf
I think so, although there is a strong point that Osmund Kettleblack may not be a knight, but that seems to have been overlooked by most people
