GoT Blu Ray Issue

So hello all. In preperation for the 4th season, I've been watching a few episodes each night when I get off work or on my day off. I'm working through the 1st season and I've noticed something.

Most blu rays will remember my place when I stop. Even DVDs do it. I don't know about seasons 2 or 3, but with season 1 it just doesn't.

What's the deal? >.> Kind of a pain to have to fast forward to my spot and/or deal with all the pre-menu warnings and stuff every time lol

I think it has to do with how long it's been since you last watched it. Like say, if I watched half an episode, took a break for dinner and then came back it usually goes right to where I left off, but if I finished the episode the next day I'd have to find my place again.

Or maybe I'm just talking out of my ass lol. I don't know honestly, but that's what I came up with.

On a side note, the only thing I don't like about the GoT blu-rays are the fact that it takes soooo long for it to fully load and get to the title screen. Also, (the improved a little bit in later seasons) but it was a pain in the ass finding the exact bonus content you wanted to watch. I don't know why they don't just put all the episodes on the first 4 discs, and save the 5th disc for all of the bonus content.

At least initially blu-ray discs that were authored in BD-java were unable to resume playback.

Not sure if this has changed in the last couple of years, but that would be my guess as the cause.
