I'm figuring the old thread's locking is nigh, so here's a new one for le Madness.

Rajin Cajuns were giving Creighton a good one, but it looks like the Jays will survive.  There's a potentially interesting story line if Oregon can beat Wisconsin as Altman would be going against Creighton.

ETA:  Thread title slightly altered

GW's lucky to only be down 5 at the break, they did not look good for a lot of that half.

I'm pleased that Gonzaga took care of OK. State.  Three pac-12'ers plus Gonzaga and SDSU into the 2nd round (with UCLA still hopefully to join).

Providence v. UNC is another really good game for the first round.

Man, it was crazy that EKU took KU kind of down to the wire considering that KU absolutely gutted them inside all game.

KU dug themselves a pretty big hole by turning the ball over about a dozen times in the first half.  I think they were down by 9 late in the first half, despite shooting 60-70 percent from the field from lots of dunks and layups.  Once they stopped turning the ball over, they were able to eventually wear them down.  EKU also shot the 3 pretty well, almost 40%, which helped keep them in the game.

I'm not sure how much the team has changed for the worse without Embid.  I actually haven't watched many of their games.  But I do know that after Embid went out, they finished the year with a couple losses .  If KU does make it to the second week and Embid is able to come back, will he be back at 100%?  They don't seem to be quite the same team without him, even though Black has played pretty well down the stretch as a replacement.

If Memphis could shoot, they would be a lethally dangerous team with all those athletes.

Been a good, scrappy game though.

22 total points.  18 three point attempts.  Cal-Poly is miserable.

UT looked strong today.  2 very solid wins for them so far, and just a Mercer game away from the sweet 16.  I enjoy watching Duke lose, so that was fun.  Would have liked to get Kansas out of the bracket, but oh well.  We're going to have our hands full with Pitt tomorrow anyway, so no use looking down the road.

Go Gators!

Ah well. It came down to one missed shot at the end, that's about the best that can be hoped for when you seem to lack the ability to get any stops and you only go 14-24 from the line.

lol @ the thread title.

Speaking of the thread title, I'm actually starting to feel a bit sick. My throat is starting to hurt, I feel lightheaded, and I've been sneezing/blowing my nose all day long.

Hopefully I stay sick until it's time for the Memphis vs. Virginia game on Sunday, cause I most likely will be working during that game :(

Out of sessions and in my room. Skipping the Hospitality Suites tonight. I don't do well watching UK games in groups.

Damn!  Stephen F. Austin is not going away.  The F stands for Four-point play?

Epic mental mistake for that VCU guard.  Ouch.  Smart was trying to get them fired up for OT.

Interested to see the Alford-led Bruins in the first round.  Bruin fans have been, as has been chronicled here, kind of ridiculous towards this guy so far.  He officially improves on Howland's last year with a win tonight.

I can't believe they called a charge on UK right there, that was Gibson from K-state right?  He was so slow getting there, but he's so fat that it looked like he was there the whole time.

Nah. Smart can't do anything about a stupid freshman making a terrible mistake then missing the game winning shot. Plus, he has a great recruiting class incoming with people that can actually shoot. That being said, epically terrible mistake from Lewis. I'm fucking pissed.
