So Tired of the Brienne/Jaime shippers

Come on guys, they're not falling in love, at least not romantically. They are having a great and growing relationship based on an unlikely friendship and mutual understanding. Just because a man and a woman hang out together and become close friends doesn't automatically mean that they will end up having sex and a secret baby.

This is how I feel about Arya/Gendry shippers but at least they like Arya. She does not think about him anymore. When she was around him she never said she wanted to marry him one day. If it wasn't clear before her new chapter it should confirm that the next time they see each other they will be strangers. It's very bizarre to decide a child can only like this one person or be with this one person for the rest of their life. He wanted to stay with the BWB for justice reasons. Arya is a murderer and a thief and is training with the FM. Morals and values wise they aren't compatible imo. He already was pissed at her for the Weasel soup which is small beans compared to what she's doing now.

I agree. They may be friends, even close friends. They may even start to consider each other family, but there is no romantic feelings on either side. Brienne is still hung up on Renly, and let's face it, she is very socially awkward. If Jamie can't have Cersie, he doesn't want anyone.

I also do not think they could end up together romantically. All they've been through together have made them close, I think, and they understand each other, but it's a very different kind of relationship.

Ah, the shippers. I've no interest in any 'shipping', so I can read the posts with detachment, or choose not to read them at all. Shipping tv/book characters has been around as long as I've been alive (I'm in my 50s), so I learned long ago to take them with a grain (sometimes a whole bagful) of salt.

As for Jaime and Brienne? The explanation is simple. Jaime is currently on a 'redemption' arc, and many believe Brienne is his inspiration. That is why so many 'see' the two as being intertwined/a couple. Hence, the shipping.

I don't see those two working out. Jaime is too Cersei-dependent, and even though he officially has left her she's left her mark on him, so it's something that will harm him a bit in the next relationship he gets into.

Brienne is awkward, and though awkward people can find love, I think she also needs her own "alone" time. She crushed deeply on Renly and she's been soured by all those knights who mocked her in her childhood, I'm surprised why isn't she a little more bitter about romance.

Jaime is hitting on Brienne something fierce in the TV show, even wearing the same ugly bag brown tunic she wears and saying she looks like a Lannister.

In the books I think it's as close to a romantic relationship as it gets. Brienne has a lifetime of channeling her romantic feelings into faithful, platonic loyalty; and her loyalty might even break in their upcoming WoW scenes.

I don't mean to sound rude, but have you paid attention to her chapters ?

As for the rest, well I disagree but I don't feel like arguing.
