These were among my favourite books as a kid, and while I wasn't quite so keen on the later ones, the first two Adrian Mole books capture the 1980s zeitgeist so well. In my own attempts at writing, I still sometimes play with the fictional diary structure.



(Adrian himself would have turned 47 on 2nd April).
