House of the Undying

Re-reading the chapter about Dany in House of the Undying where she walked around, looking through doors.

I thought it was confusing because so many things were happening. Obscure prophecies were told while she struggled to find the way out mixed with her confusion at the same time.

Goosebumps were popping up on my skin as I read and as the light was getting dimmer and dimmer. I had to re-read a few parts several times to get the image right in my head.

It's a great chapter. I had to reread it, just to get everything in my mind, and I still need to check it sometimes.

I think it's one of the better Dany chapters in the whole series. It has so much foreshadowing in it that's it worth it rereading it several times. Yeah, great chapter!

I think this chapter is a prophecy for what's coming next. Some sort of encrypted spoilers, which makes it an extremely intriguing chapter. Worth a re-read definitely... and the ilusion of Rhaegar in the room gave me goosebumps :s it's the first time in the series that is shown that he was not evil as is father, but a kind heart and a truly charming prince... it almost makes Robert Baratheon look like a villain :/

Just read this chapter last night. It mentioned the corpse on the deck of a ship with a "grey" smile or something similar. Forgive me if that's not it exactly, but it made me think of Theon Greyjoy. I have no idea if that's even accurate. I don't want to look it up for fear of spoilers.

The House of the Undying scene is definitly worth a re-read, especially when you've read all the books currently available.

What's yet to come, what has already happened, what might have happened... ;)

I'm new to this forum but have read all the books a couple of rimes, and I have this chapter earmarked. As the Edge previously said, I believe some of the visions are a sort of encrypted spoiler, so to speak. The vision concerning Rhaegar and the woman w/a babe and of the blue flower/rose in the wall of ice. Rhaegar says "his is the song of ice and fire" (I believe this is a VERY important clue, being the title of the books themselves) and to name him Aegon. Another I believe is important is the blue rose or flower in the wall of ice. I think both of these are speaking of Jon snow. . .

Just a bit of a heads up, this thread has many, many spoilers for those who may only be reading A Clash of Kings, so only visit if you don't mind spoilers (or have read all the books!).
