aghrivaine
Hey all;I have one of the first, limited editions of the Testor's Ruby Ford 54mm miniature set. It's got a COA and all that stuff too.Apparently, the first run was plagued with imperfections, and so very few of them actually survived. It's the version that was in the fancy red, velvet-bound book. I've had it since at least '05, and I still haven't painted it. What with just buying a house...maybe it's time to let it go. Anyone have any idea what such a thing would be worth? I can't even find it on the internet.
coreywt
This was one sold last year:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Game-of-Thrones-pewter-fig-George-RR-Martin-The-Ruby-Ford-Tom-Meier-/290860711640If you follow through to the seller's feedback, it shows he did sell it, for an unspecified Best Offer under $300. aghrivaine
Amazing research! Thank you. For under $300 it's probably not really worth it.

coreywt
Ruby Ford was Testor's only official release for ASoIaF, but they did prototypes of some others. Here's a pic of some from GRRM's site: http://www.georgerrmartin.com/news/miniatures.jpg And I have a set of unpainted Night's Watch and Wilding prototypes from Testors. They popped up on eBay one day and I could hardly believe it; I had to do some searching to find out they were real. Testors gave them out to some prominent gamers apparently. They were sculpted by Tom Meier, who also sculpts most of the Dark Sword miniatures now.
Leonardo
:o Did they have any of the rules for the game with it or was it just the miniatures? Yeah Tom Meier is a beast lol
coreywt
:o Did they have any of the rules for the game with it or was it just the miniatures? Apparently prelim versions of rules got in the hands of some fans... Leonardo
Wow thanks, we've been trying to create our own rules for a SBG of GoT, so any news on that front is a boon. I already fleshed out a Benjen and rangers Vs. Whitewalker and Wights scenario but haven't been able to play test is yet
