Fool of a Took Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but if we didn't talk about things that have been discussed, then we wouldn't be talking about anything at all. Anyway, I have no foundation for this thought nor is this well thought out, and I don't necessarily think it is going to happen, it just popped up in my brain when reading another thread, but does anyone foresee a possible relationship between The Hound and The Beauty? I know this may seem a little against GRRM's nature, but while they may seem completely opposite in nature, they are extremely alike in some ways. Physically, they are both incredible in size and both well known to be not the most beautiful things to look at. Also, the Hound is so put off about this idea of a knight and the hypocrisy of modern day knights and the idea of chivalry. And while Brienne can never become a true Knight because of being a female (I hope that's right) she does represent the idea of chivalry. To go along with this, they both either care for or have devoted their goals to Sansa and Arya. Brienne has promised to Catelyn that she would return her daughters to Winterfell and as we all know the Hound cares for both Sansa and Arya. Perhaps they will find a mutual interest in the two girls. I know this seems fairytale-ish for GRRM and this is assuming Brienne doesn't die with Lady Stoneheart. Also I'm positive this will upset the SanSan and Brienne/Jaime lovers. Again, don't necessarily think this is going to happen, they just seem to parallel each other quite a lot. If Brienne is going to end up settling down with anyone the most likely candidate is Jaime Lannister. Yea I definitely agree with you on both those accounts, it just seemed to me a slight possibility and I for one have never seen it discussed before. I think 90% of the population in Westeros are sexually confused. That said I think Brienne has still a thing for Renly and Jaimie probably for Cersei. They got hit hard. As Sandor progresses in his reassessing everything he will actually come to embody the chivalry he never believed in. While I would see them working together to save Sansa, I don't see them falling for each other. Well, Pippin, it's not going to happen, but they could team up quite nicely. Both are Team Stark. I would love to see them in a fight scene on the show!
