Dragons get separated in WoW?

DragonBound

So we know Dany is off with Drogon in the Dothraki sea,Viserion and Rhaegel are still back at Meereen, which is now warring with Yunkai, sellswords, and the Iron Fleet is in the water.

I think that Meereen will win out and treat with Victarion. He'll want Dany like everyone else, but seeing how no one there knows where she is, he is going to take a different tact. I think he'll meet up with Tyrion somehow and be convinced that he can just bind V and R with his horn and take them back. He doesn't need Dany at that point really, he has two dragons in his command. But, as we know, one dragon per rider. Tyrion gets one of them? I don't think Vic is patient enough to wait for Dany or to try to look for her.

But, the point is that the dragons are going to be separated. That could imply a lot of different things, and completely change the tide in Westeros, something no one sees coming.

Or am I just totally off my rocker here?

EDIT: I haven't read Victarion's pre-release chapter, but I hear that Rhaegal is seen flying around during battle and Viserion gets injured? Or something about foreshadowing from a cyvasse game Tyrion was playing?

This is a possibility ... assuming this dragon horn actually works on the dragons. I don't think it will, personally. I don't think Victarion will be a dragon rider. Pretty sure he's going to become dragon fodder when he tries to blow that horn and nothing happens.

And yes, I'm new around these parts. Been lurking a while, finally registered.

I think that all depends on when Victorian arrives vs how long Dany is actually gone. She could jump back up on Drogon right after he eats a few of the Dothracki and be back before dinner.

However, if Viserion and Rhaegel are "dragonnapped" that could also get Dany off her proverbial butt and headed to Westeros to get them back.

I may be inclined to agree that Vic may not ride, but I do think the horn will work. I think the horn is for those who can't "bind" to dragons by means of having some ancestry of Valyrian blood.

I'm new too! This is my first post.

I forgot where I read it, but someone had a theory that with R and V in Westeros, Dany would just take Drogon by herself and get over there. I think it's possible, but it almost renders her exploits in Essos moot. Don't like that idea. I think she stays east for a little bit. She has no idea what's happening in Meereen and I think Vic impatience will force events around the dragons.

Just had a new idea. What if all 3 get separated individually? Tyrion saves and rides away on Viserion, Vic captures Rhaegal and somehow manages to get him across the sea (no speculating on how in this thread), and Dany is off getting more army in Dothrak.

And, if one, or both, dragons get to Westeros without Dany, how would Victarion use it against Euron, and then against the realm?

It's unlikely any Iron Born King will settle for less than the Iron Throne with a dragon in possession. Because of this I think the Tyrells will team with Aegon who will have Dorne, kill Tommen and depose the Lannisters. Tyrion will show up at some point with Viserion to oppose Vic and Rhaegel. Dany is...uh...doing her thing in Essos. I really have no idea what that crazy story line is doing besides building an army the worst way possible. She'll show up to remind everyone that they have to fight the Other's. Who, because of the distraction in the South, have no problem bringing the Wall down and marching south.

Separating the dragons will cause so much more chaos than the world is ready for. I think this next book is going to be all about chaos, death, and hard choices.

I suspect only Dany can use the dragonhorn or maybe a priest or priestess of the Red God.

Moqquoro (sp?) was on his way to Dany, hoping he'll somehow get the horn to her.

But wrenching Dany's "children" from her is so Martin I think you may be right.

It's possible. Anything can happen in that chaotic battle of Meereen.

What if Sam has the dragonhorn and Victarion has the Wall-down horn?

btw when did Sam get a horn? I don't recall that :o[/quote

Jon found it at the fist and gave it to Sam in Cok

I think the dragon horn simply binds, by blood, to whoever does whatever blood ritual is needed for it, which only a red priest know presumably. That way, it doesn't matter who blows it because it only responds to the commands of the person who did whatever blood ritual.

Conceivably, anyone could do this to use the horn.

I'm thinking: "What's the worst possible thing that could happen to all the other characters in the Westerosi game of thrones?" And also, "What's the worst possible thing that could happen to Westeros in its entirety?"

The answers I've come up with, so far, include "A dragon under the control of the ironborn" and "a dragon on the side of the Others".

Now look at the words of the Drowned God - "what is dead may never die but rises again stronger and harder" - suddenly those two things look like one and the same.

And, given that the writer of this series is GRRM... you mark my words, it's gonna happen.

All the major characters have to lose their biggest strength to grow as characters. Bran his legs, Sansa her marriage, Arya her identity, Jon the NW, Jaime his sword arm, Tyrion his wealth and connections. Daenerys must lose her dragons to grow as a character.

I definitely agree with this. It's been the running pattern across the board.

I honestly had not thought of that angle. I like it. I always wondered what bigger part the Iron Born will play.

I agree completly. I would love to see dragonless Dany. Everyone always asumes that she has to be the one controlling the dragons, bringing them to Westeros, riding them or at least one of them. But to me her being the mother doesn't have to mean they are going to automatically stay with her throughtout the story. We have seen a lot of mothers in the show losing their children, why not also Dany (and I don't mean TV show "where are my dragons" style)

Drogon is gonna kill Viserion similarly to how Drogo killed Viserys. Rhaegal will be killed by one of Robert's bastards similarly to how Rhaegar was killed by Robert. Drogon will be killed by Dany similarly to how Dany killed Drogo.

Note-when i say similarly i don't mean they'll be killed the same way.. just in case that wasn't obvious enough.. drogon will not pour molten gold on viserion's head :spank:

i can definitely see V and R flying off inexplicably, only to return when everyone least expects it...

i don't think there's any way that all the dragons survive the whole series though. not saying you're wrong cause we don't know yet, but don't you think that would be very anti-grrm style? i feel like he's gotta kill one or two, if not all three. maybe one of them dies and turns into a wightdragon that spits ice instead of fire or something. the ultimate battle - Drogon vs. IceRhaegal. we can all dream...

an interesting sub topic tho: are dragons warg-able?

I've been saying for a long time now, We will def. see dragon vs dragon in this series. We might even see more dragons than the 3 we know of.

*Ice dragon

*Stone Dragon

*Shadow Dragon

*wight dragon

Dragons hatched from other eggs after Danys dragons hatched.

I believe Viserion will somehow end up in the north and Rhaegal will end up in Ironborn control. Reak havoc in the reach. I see Drogon killing Rhaegal
