What wil happen to Sybell Spicer (Robb's treacherous mother in law)?

People hate on the Freys and Roose for their involvement in the RW and want vengeance in some form- RW 2.0, Nymeria wolf pack attack etc.

However, one of the most treacherous people involved is usually forgotten (over the innocent Freys as well) for her involvement in Robb's defeat- Sybell Spicer aka the worst mother in law ever!

She made sure Robb couldn't gain an heir and possibly organised/encouraged the union of Robb and Jeyne (working for Tywin) so the Freys would have a reason to betray him.

Do you think her betrayal against the King in the North will be recognised, especially by Jeyne and will she be brought to Justice? Personally, I'm hoping Jeyne will go all Tyrion and kill her...but that is a little sick....or not?

So what do you think? Will we be seeing her again?

Perhaps she dies, perhaps she don't. She will however loose the few things she has plotted for. Her eldest son died at the RW (and he seems to have been good heir material), the standing of House Westerling took an even bigger hit (They are traitors in the eyes of the Westerlands, eyc.), her daughter hates her guts and that will be the same for her other children. Her husband will probably shun her sooner or later. Her brother might die, but he sure as hell isn't getting Castamere. That's going to a Daenerys loyalists (if BBP survives long enough he'll get either Castamere or Tarbeck Hall).

I agree. I totally forgot about her to be honest. I believe she has a story or two left in her before she gets killed though. Its actually very interesting when you put it that way. Sometimes, I wonder if the arthur is actually keeping track of all the characters and their significance in the story.

...

Arthur Dayne?

GRRM is Arthur Dayne??

Of course. It's very clear, actually. That's also why Arthur has a sword named Dawn, you know?

Think about it. Dawn. DAWN. Death Always Wins, Niggas. A secret message from George, telling us that, at the end of the series, the Others will kill all of the known world, and that will be the end. Brilliant, isn't it?

Not to mention that as the Young Wolf's widow, Jeyne may be doomed, :crying: . I think some tragedy is going to befall the prisoners in that riding party, especially since Edmure is part of the group and it suits the purposes of the Frey's and LF alike to see to it that the rightful Tully lord is dead.

Really, I think Sybelle's punishment will be not only her son's death, but the bitterness of knowing she essentially got NOTHING for scheming. Her brother's title is meaningless without the mines of Castamere, (and no way Tywin gave up those,), and he won't even be able to keep the title when this is all over. The bride from CR she was offered was a bastard, (and a bastard that Tywin had actually offered the bastard son of Walder Frey-the Frey's aren't getting everything they hoped for either,) and they probably won't even get that much less the lordly marriages for Jeyne and her sister. She hasn't gotten herself in good with the Lannister regime-Jaime didn't even bother to hide his contempt.

My guess is in the days to come after the Starks inevitably re-take the North, Sybelle is likely to be thought of as the woman who could have been mother in law to the King in the North, and had her grandchild ruling Winterfell...but managed to throw that chance away.

This.

She'll spend the rest of her days knowing she gave up everything. She lost a son, and a daughter (Jeyne hates her). I wouldn't be surprised if the other two children don't despise her as well. The youngest boy seemed to idolize Robb too. And she gained absolutely nothing for it. She traded an entire kingdom for a bastard marraige. If she were smart she'd have sold Roose out for the Dredfort and rebuilt her family in the North. Her fear of Tywin, given his desperate state, was unwarranted. The moment she heard he died I bet she nearly cried. She was given the entire world and gave it all away for absolutely nothing.

If the BwB comes upon her, she may be hanging form a tree somewhere. Either way she is going to get hers.

I think Rolph Spicer will lose Castamere when Tyrion and Dany come rolling through. I think it's possible he will die in the fighting, with Tyrion and Dany killing the Lord of Castamere in a parallel to Tywin.
