The biggest plot point in WoW

Looking forward to WoW and thinking of the big picture, I have come up with what I think will be the biggest plot point in WoW and possibly the entire series. I think the biggest plot point in WoW will be when Dany meets Tyrion. I have a couple reasons and likely outcomes that I think will happen based off of what happens when they meet.

The reason I think this will be the most important is because I believe it will be the last push that Dany needs to go to Westeros.

I think one of two things will happen when they meet. I am basing these scenarios off the presumption that Dany will take Tyrion into her service and they will become allies. I believe this will happen as Tyrion's only chance of getting CR is a Targaryen victory, and he is smart enough to realize that, which brings me to...

Scenario 1: Dany and Tyrion meet, and Tyrion tells Dany that Aegon is alive and is the real deal. He tells her something to the effect of "My father knew that the baby who died wasn't the real Aegon and was always wondering what would happen when he returned to regain his birthright." This will, of course, send Dany to Westeros as quickly as possible to assist Aegon.

Scenario 2: When they meet, Tyrion will tell Dany that Aegon is a BF prancing around as a Targaryen to get support, which will anger her and she will go to Westeros to ensure that she is the only Targaryen the people will follow.

I personally think that scenario 1 is more likely. As stated before, Tyrion's only hope for CR is a Targaryen victory, and the best way to make that happen is to have Aegon and Dany become allies.

Thoughts? Additional Scenarios?

When Tyrion and Dany meet will no doubt be very important, but if I had to choose a 'biggest' plot point on the horizon, it would be the revelation of Jon's parentage, which I do think is likely to occur in WoW. I think we'll finally meet Howland Reed, the only man alive who knows.

Good point. I guess I meant the biggest plot point in regards to the Wot5K, although what Jon will do when he finds out about his parentage might be the biggest turning point there as well.

Tyrion may also be the one who betrays her for gold at some point. Like for example during their reconquest, Dany's agenda conflicts with Tyrion's so he steals a dragon to honor his deal with the Second Sons (Just an idea I haven't given any thought to). But I agree their meeting will be important.

The wall coming down will be the biggest plot point. Question is whether or not Dany/Tyrion will know about it or be anywhere near Westeros when it goes down. It will obviously have very serious implications on the alliances in and around the Iron Throne, arguably most importantly Aegon and Dany's.

I agree with this and I don't think Dany will have any idea the wall fell.

My theory for the Iron Throne covered in snow we've been seeing, is Dany arriving at King's Landing to a nearly empty city and an empty throne room. Everyone else still alive will be marching north to try and hold back the assault of the others.

Who says the Wall is coming down? The Horn of Winter wakes giants.

Tyrion sent fAegeon to Westeros don't think hell get Dany there. After Dany returns from the Shadow Lands of Asshai (sp) she's going to the Wall. She's got to be removed from the game of thrones, not that she's doing very well, anyhow, and placed in the battle of the North with the Others.

How else do we get the Dany-Jon-Tyrion meetup?

Dany's Targ blood, Jon's Stark blood, and Tyrion's likeness to Lan the Clever will be a winning combo in the fight at the Wall.

Absolutely not convinced that Kings Landing will ever find out the truth about the Others and the White Walkers. The game will continue, same as it ever was.

I agree that Howland must make his long waited appearance to move the plot along. But knowing GRRM - he probalby has something much bigger in store for readers. In watching GOT on HBO - I am sort of starting to think there is something with Meera that will surprise - I mean just her appearance on the show smells like "Stark / Targ" to me... Black curly hair - just like Jon...

1. Dany gets to Westeros. Fucking finally! Also, I think TWOW is where the dragons really start to pay off- Dany already rides Drogon, which opens up the possibility for a really epic battle seen on dragon-back. This will be especially awesome after she spent most of ADWD trying to hold a city that, quite frankly, nobody cares about.

2. Winter is here, and the Others are probably about to make their move. Fucking finally!

3. The Lannisters (=Cersei) self destruct in King's Landing and make way for others... Should I say it again? The Lannisters have been sitting there since AGOT, and I have a feeling that TWOW is where that finally changes. We've got Aegon potentially backed by Dorne coming up (with Varys INSIDE the city!), King's Landing in an all out war between the Lannisters and the Tyrells and whatever Littlefinger might be up to... The Lannisters' days on the Throne are numbered.

Dany and Tyrion will meet, but I am unsure if that will be THE thing that gets her moving. It may be before then, at Vaes Dothrak, or in her visions, that she finds the motivation and puts Meereen in perspective (meaning, realizes it can go to hell).

And there won't be a single biggest point in TWOW. Dany's change of direction will be one of the Big Three, along with the Fall of the Wall and the death of Tommen. As to the revelation of Jon Snow's ancestry... that may seem an important point, but I think it will have less impact than it may seem.

Ive read the books I read this article I read ALL the comments and still Ive seen only one concerning about what I have thought.
In the summary of AFFC at back of the book it says Sam has brought a mysterious child to the citadel (Who is that child? What will happen with Sam and that child?)...
Also everyone says of the ADWD book things that happened but noone about the 1st book... All you have to do is (since youve read all the books) pay more attention to what says in the 1st book the whole thing with the Dance of Dragons the 2 brother and sister who fought each other (Daenaerys vs Aegon for example)... The thing about Jons birth which is a big issue also...The fact that every child of Eddard Stark is a warg and that everyone of them has a Direwolf as in the beginning everyone saw...
And one thing in a comment I read and I wanna clear out (as an opinion always) The Others start to appear more often in The Winds of Winter When the Others come the day becomes night and dark falls The Others will bring the winds of winter and the long dark so...
The whole thing about Azor Ahai and Quaithes riddle for Daenaerys that she must pass through shadow... This is the shadow she must pass... the shadow The Others will bring and since they die from fire SHE HAS DRAGONS!
Her dragons will kill The Others and that was my 1st thought when I learned everything about Dragons and Others
And all those plots about the other POV Characters are just thoughts only George Martin knows about that and in the end it will all involve Daenaerys's cause and fullfill these prophesy.
A Song Of Ice And Fire the Targaryen who knew how to sing(cant remember his name right now)
Ice:the Starks
Fire:the Targaryen
the previous name of the last book A Time For Wolves : the Direwolves of the Stark children except from Lady and Greywolf
And the new name A Dream Of Spring: that means the Great Battle Noone Mentioned With The Others... A Dream that when they are finished(The Others) Spring will come back earlier than expected. As I said read again the 1st book.. since you know about the other books read it, connect the dots and THEN make BETTER assumptions.

I think the biggest plot point considering there really is only 1 book remaining after WOW, is the Stark's reuniting.

I think by the end of WOW they'll be together again setting up the last book.

I don't think the big reunion will happen in TWOW. Bran and Arya are still too far away, though Sansa and Rickon and Jon might.
