Theory: Tyene will get close to Cersei (if she's not already)

The mission Doran assigns to her:

“Your mother was a septa. Oberyn once told me that she read to you in the cradle from the Seven-Pointed Star. I want you in King’s Landing too, but on the other hill. The Swords and the Stars have been re-formed, and this new High Septon is not the puppet that the others were. Try and get close to him.”

“Why not? White suits my coloring. I look so … pure.”

A description of Cersei's current imprisonment, as of the aDwD epilogue:

The meal was served by three novices, well-scrubbed girls of good birth between the ages of twelve and sixteen. In their soft white woolens, each seemed more innocent and unworldly than the last, yet the High Septon had insisted that no girl spend more than seven days in the queen’s service, lest Cersei corrupt her. They tended the queen’s wardrobe, drew her bath, poured her wine, changed her bedclothes of a morning. One shared the queen’s bed every night, to ascertain she had no other company; the other two slept in an adjoining chamber with the septa who looked over them.

The description of the novices fits Tyene's to a T:

Lady Tyene smiled at that. Her gown was cream and green, with long lace sleeves, so modest and so innocent that any man who looked at her might think her the most chaste of maids.

And the fact that the High Septon keeps rotating the novices every seven days means that Tyene would have better chances of actually getting near Cersei

I'm not sure how chronology stands, or if it's possible that Tyene has already arrived at KL and entered to the service of the High Septon, but if not, this could mean she's at least very likely to

Now, if the novices get so close to Cersei, I think Tyene could poison her very easily, and now I fear for the safety of my favorite Queen :frown5:

Traitor! I thought you were a Tyrell fan!

I think it more likely Tyene will somehow get to Tommen and poison him. I like the theory I heard a while back of a double assassination attempt- Nym going after Cersei and Tyene after Tommen, and Nym failing and getting killed but Tyene succeeding, leading to Myrcella being crowned.

Tyene could actually take Cersei AND Tommen out of the picture. She could be one of the rotating novices or even the attendant septa. All it would take is Tommen and Cersei having a quiet lunch in her chambers.

There is this Dornish accent which is hard to get rid of. And as Varys said to Kevan, "Someone somewhere will find a way to blame the Dornishmen."

After Cersei returns to power, I thing the security will be very tight. She might not allow a Dornish septa to come close by.

Wasn't a hot thick young Dornish septa attending Cersei?

I thought she was returning to Kings Landing with Myrcella, so I dont imagine she would be there yet

Yeah, I assume she's returning with Nym's party (although the Small Council at least doesn't seem to know about her), but maybe her and Nym would get in separate ways

I have considered that as well, with Tyene being one of the septas attending Cersei.

Except Jaime is the valonqar, and he will be the one who kills Cersei.

Gods, no, my cover's blown! Alright then...Hail Hydra!

No, I meant to say my favorite evil Queen ;)

Man, I like this a lot!

Given that Doran sent Oberyn to KL for a diplomatic mission but he knew his nature too damn well and the man somehow killed Gregor (and most probably poisoned Tywin too).

The time for Dorne to defy the IT is getting closer and Doran now sends two Sandsnakes to KL. Unlike Obara, both of them are fit for assassination. Tyene looks very innocent and she knows almost as much about the poisons as Oberyn. Lady Nym can hide her daggers very well and she already stated her desire to kill Tommen and Cersei.

Doran knows the Sandsnakes very well. Is he dumb enough to hope that Nym and Tyene will behave in KL and do their duties he "commanded" them to do? Or did he send them to do the duties he "expected" them to do?

However, we must also consider the Martell chapters in ADwD.

Didn't the Sandsnakes all come around to Doran's point-of-view in the end?

I personally think people don't give Arianne and the Sandsnakes enough credit. I think they've all learned from their mistake and I think it will make them more shrewd and apt in the future.

You think they (including Arianne) can change their nature in the blink of an eye? I don't think so. And the Arianne chapters in TWoW already shows that she didnot learn her lesson a bit.

My take on it is that there is still a lot in Doran's plan that we, reader, have no idea about.

But I think he told the full of it to the Sand Snakes, thus getting them in his pocket.

Doran would never send them to KL if he wasnt absolutely certain of their loyalty and obedience and the only reason to achieve that is to tell them exactly what he is planning.

Tyene (<3) and Lady Nym in KL are one of the things I'm most anticipating in Winds !
