It's Not That Littlefinger
would he bend the knee for jon, dany, or aegon? i dont think he was hugely for the rebellion. he was just following his older brother. i dont think it's too far fetched to think that he would support a targ. The Eunuch
No way. He believes he's the true heir to the Seven Kingdoms, he will never kneel. Moreover, he has too much pride for that.
Stormland's Fury
He would, so they could fight the Others. Not kneeling that is, but join them.
Free Northman Reborn
He admitted already how torn he was between following his brother and following his king in the Rebellion. So I can easily conceive of him kneeling to a Targ ruler for the good of the realm.
Tagganaro
I have trouble seeing it. Stannis is so proud and committed at this point, I really can't see him deciding to give up after everything he's put into it. Even if a "better" claim comes along, I just have trouble seeing him change course. He's gonna fight for the Throne until it's not possible for him to go on any longer. He doesn't even fight for the throne atm.
Bronn Urgandy
For the greater good or if he is defeated maybe, but he might insist they take his head afterwards
Mad Monkey
I think emotionally he could probably handle losing to Daenerys or Aegon more than he could handle losing to Cersei. Not necessarily because he views Dany or Aegon as being better than he is, but because he can respect their reasons for thinking they deserve the throne more than he can respect the Lannister's. In his mind the Baratheons replaced the Targaryens, but he can understand intellectually why the Targaryens don't feel that way. The Lannisters on the other hand are just underhanded thieves. But no, I don't think that he would kneel to a Targ. Maybe in an alternate universe where Rhaegar won at the Trident and the Rebellion collapsed... but not now, not when he believes that the fate of the entire human race depends on his victory. theriveryeti
I think there are a set of circumstances that could lead to him supporting a Targ but I don't think it'd be automatic. The Baratheons won the throne by conquest.
Bright Blue Eyes
No. He made his decision twenty years ago. He'll stick with it come hell or high water.
Faint
Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, but brittle, the way iron gets. He’ll break before he bends.Martin, George R.R. (2003-03-04). A Storm of Swords: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book Three (p. 1055). Random House, Inc.. Kindle Edition. Bright Blue Eyes
That quote is still as biased as ten years ago. Outright wrong in more than one perspective.

Stannis is the true steel and he would be able to bend for a Targaryen and give up his claim, if he believed that was the best thing for the Realm. I never took you for such a fierce Stannis supporter in the past. But these last few months I've noticed a lot of Stannis admiration shine through in your posts. Interesting. Wmarshal
Stannis has led his men to hell and back, then to hell again. His claim is all he and his men have left, to surrender is to spit on all the blood and sacrifice they been thru. Stannis would never do that, maybe TV-Stannis, but true Stannis never. fangirl000
Nope. At this point, Stannis has gone all in for his claim to the Iron Throne - assassinating his brother, embracing blood magic, empowering religious zealots, practicing human sacrifice, and committing thousands of soldiers and ships and treasure to the cause. He's going to be king or die trying.
Fightbringer
i could see it, but its unlikely, he see's himself as the rightful king, stannis isnt the kind of guy who would believe that just because someone he believed to be a more legitimate ruler was half way across the world. If he believed Danyhad a better claim than his, he would have declared for her instead of himself, lets face it, he isnt the kind of guy who would let the constraints of doing that stop himMaybe as has been suggested he might make peace to fight the others, but as soon as that was done he would restart the war, and i doubt that would be how the series ends. Therefore, by the end, Stannis will be dead.
