zachfetch
I'm only on the first couple chapters but I saw in the show the walkers turn a horse into a wight, here's the list of creatures I was wondering if it's possible for them to be wights and also if it has happened in the books yet. Yes and no answers please.Horse? Yes. Yes.Dire wolves?Shadow cats?Lions?Giants?Dragons?Lizard-lions?Also when a creature is a wight can a warg still control it? Dornish Whine
I am not sure how to respond to this... I think the only answer to give is "we don't know". The White Walkers stay off camera for large swathes of the novels and not much is known about them, their powers, or their tactics... yet.
Stannis Eats No Peaches
Don't know about dragons or the warging thing, but I would guess that any normal animal can turn into a wight, direwolves included.
The Kinkslayer
Bears for sure.. not sure about giants
zachfetch
Thanks for the responses. I was just thinking how cool it would be to see a zombie pack of dire wolves or a zombie giant.Zombie bear gets me excited that's awesome.
Fanless Mace
I'm betting on a reanimated dragon wight in the final denouement. Ice dragons will live again!
Stannis Eats No Peaches
:agree:Regarding warging; this is interesting because it seems to be about taking over a creatures mind. Depending on how you look at it, it's possible or not. Either wights are mindless in which case you couldn't do it, or they are left with only limited brain workings, in which case you could. I suspect it would be very unpleasant. My first thought was that it's impossible, but maybe that's how the Others control them.
Lady Blizzardborn
My first thought was that it's impossible, but maybe that's how the Others control them. But those who skinchange or warg can only control one body at a time; their real body goes dormant (in a sense) while they are inhabiting the other one. So do we think the Others have a way to warg and still be able to use their own bodies at the same time?
TallTyrion
Wasn't there a wight bear at the battle on the Fist of the First Men? Also to become a wight do you need to be killed by an other or just be dead?
Dragon's Bane
I think it's a safe bet to assume that anything can be wighted. Humans can. Horses can. So why not giants, why not dire wolves?Dragons are the only thing that's debatable, but then again, a dead dragon is just a bit of flesh.
unSonofStannis
The only ones I know of are bears and horses.
