The Fate of Edmure?

Recommended Posts

What do you guys think?

I personally think that Lady Stoneheart is planning a RW2.0 in the castle because isn't Tom Sevenstrings somewhere there? I also think that she and Blackfish will find a way to free Edmure unless Blackfish is in the vale.

If Edmure survives the series, I could see him re-making the Tully line.

If Edmure dies, then the whole Tully name goes with him :(

My crackpot goes like this:

Some of the missing BwB members, like Anguy and Ned Dayne, have infiltrated Edmure's escort disguised as Lannister soldiers, using the uniforms and coats of the many soldiers they've hanged. Just like Tom has infiltrated Riverrun, it makes sense to ambush the group taking Edmure from within, since Jaime is expecting an external attack.

Interesting. Prester does say he has his best longbowmen guarding Edmure. They don't get much better than Anguy.

I am totally down with this.

I have to agree, yet I can't see Edmure ever ruling Riverrun, ever again. It was because of his wedding that the Red wedding could have even happened. His children will be a reminder of the treachery of house Frey forever.

I doubt the lords, heirs and fatherless children of the nobles that lost their lives at the Red Wedding would ever agree to bend their knees to a half frey! I'm sorry I can't see it.

THe best the Edmure could hope for is the Rosby claim, as his wife is half Rosby through her mother's side.

I could actually see that happening. I think the Brotherhood are more "dug in" than it appears. Someone in the camp, probably Tom, tipped off Stoneheart's crew about Ryman going to the Twins. It makes perfect sense for another wing to be tipped off that Edmure is en route to Casterly Rock, or for men like Tom to already be infiltrated.

Definitely There will be an ambush an epic ambush to be sure with Ser Brynden and Thoros leading the attack because he hasn´t shown for a large time or even better the burned men with timmet leading the because I´m sure they remember how KL thanked them. I just expect edmure to be free

I still want Blackfish to channel Rambo and liberate Edmure in a cascade of blood and orgy of violence, but this would be a more than acceptable alternate.

Something's up though. Edmure was way too smug when last we saw him, and even Jaime noticed it.

Yep, I've seen that idea. Ryman was last in the company of lady friend, Petyr went off with a camp follower. Makes sense. They're the perfect spies.

Ryman had crowned her "The Queen Of Whores" with Robb's Crown of Winter, too.

Which Lady Stoneheart had in hand when she was passing judgment on Brienne.
