Chess of the Gods

Warning about spoilers or possible inaccuracies

Ok, first of all this is my first post so here is a big Hello to everyone.

I have not reached the end of the already existing books yet though i have been spoiled bloody cuz my boss really loves to play the audiobooks from the seakers while we work (don't ask, he is a weird guy) so i don't mind spoilers at all. As the story goes on, i see some signs that Westeros is one big Chessboard and slowly two camps are forming, one around Daenerys, most likely for the Red God and i think another might come to be around Bran for the Great Other.

As far as Daenerys is concerned i think that from the start there are signs that she has the favor of R'hllor, her character has shown a charisma and a strength of character that has attracted people to her as well as showing both a merciful and a strict side that really looks like characteristics from someone chosen by R'hllor. Also the way she got her dragons really looks like another sign from the red god, she was not burned by the flames, the symbol of the red god of Light, and in those flames her dragons came to life from a petrified state. Initially i thought that it was just the fire that did it but later i saw that Melisandre wanted to give the king beyond the wall to the flames as part of a ritual to awake Stannis's petrified Dragon egg and that is why Jon sent Aemon away with Sam, who on his deathbed seemed convinced that Daenerys was fulfilling the prophecy of being Azor Ahai reborn, although i think Azor Ahai will be three people, the three heads of the dragon, Daenerys, Aegon and maybe Jon?( i think Melisandre was starting to belive that he might be the Azor Ahai after some time at the wall and there is this thing about his origin ppl go on about but i am not sure, these parts are from scraps i overheard in the audiobooks so i wouldn't wager my life on it's accuracy) Also the Valyrians of old gave their dead to the fire (i think probably for the same reason) and if i am not mistaken they were the ancestors of Targeryens and their empire used to be where the free cities are and where i think they Red God's religion originated so they could be connected. So in other words, Drogo's Funeral Pyre served as the ritual to awaken the dragons since Drogo used to be the equivalent of king for his Khalasar.

Now about Bran i don't know much, i know he is being summoned to the great other's Domain beyond the wall so it wouldn't surprise me if in time he pulled an Arthas and started marching over the wall with a white walker army but he somehow looks too kind and level headed for something like that but you never know, he might flip when he learns the fate of his house and family.

I think that in the end we will have a final showdown between these two forces when they both reach King's Landing.

Thanks for going through my drivel and i would appreciate any feedback that support or disprove this :)

It'll be interesting to see who singes whom if there's a test of fire (between Moqorro's fire religion and Dany's living fire breathers).

Will it be a happy union of equals as she and the religion work together to forge a rebirth of the continent, or will it be a fire fight--an enslavement of one to the purpose of the other?

Danny may rewrite the fire religion using dragon fire as her ink, or the writing on the dragonbinding horn may spell out her doom when Moqorro's superior understanding of fire magic lets him run circles around her ignorance of the laws of fire.

@HelenaAndTheMachine

Does that mean that my idea is too weak and only fitting for a child's story? I know i might not have all the knoledge on the subject or maybe the imagination to speculate something deeper but my logic at least, says it fits given the little info i have right now.

@The Mother of the Others

I don't think Moqorro will cross Daenerys but i also don't think she will be as easy to thrall as Melisandre did with Stannis but i believe Dany will come to trust Moqorro and his counsel eventually and the gift he is delivering might prove really usefull with her undiciplined dragons and who knows, Daenerys's charisma might even persuade Victarian to join her.

@Lady Arianne Martell

Well, as i said Bran does not strike me as the type either but he is just a little boy and he has been through some unpleasant and scarring stuff with everything that happened to his family also people change all the time, once i thought Jaime had no redeeming qualities but he managed to change me mind in time. Of course maybe the great other is not really the evil we think or maybe both he and R'hllor are just two sides of the same coin, two faces, two personalities with one surface during Winter and the other during spring. Maybe the three eyed raven is just his agent preparing for his lords arrival until Winter comes and maybe Azor Ahai and the dragons will be the agents R'hllor will leave behind to guard against his darker side before he departs when winter comes. Of course those are just baseless speculations and maybe a little bit of what i would like to see.
