Ocelot
In the Young Griff casting suggestions, I don't think anyone mentioned English actor Alex Pettyfer so far. He's English, the right age, w/ the right look and he's a pretty good actor. Anyone else think he would be good for the role?
Harry Lime
I don't think they should go with an actor that well-known. It would clue the unsullied in too early that the character is important.
Good Guy Garlan
He's too well-known now, and I imagine too expensive. And he's not a very good actor, in my opinion

Good Guy Garlan
LOL...He's not, you know, Brad Pitt level of famous, but he's not entirely unknown.
~DarkHorse~
Here are some common suggestions- Jaime Campbell Bower Pros- He was originally in the pilot of GoT and has already been in a medieval/fantasy based show where he acted the brash young noble (King Arthur). He is also fairly well known. cons- Some people criticise his acting. His major character role in The Mortal Instruments films means he might not have the time to commit to GoT depending on the franchises success. Bradley James Pros- He has already played a brat young noble (Prince Arthur) and can pull of a regal act too. Cons- He might be getting too old for the part and is a popular cast choice for Rhaegar. Robert Sheehan pros- Is widely considered a good actor, the right age and throw on a silver wig and he looks like Dany (Emilia). cons- People will moan about 'dem dark eyebrows and that wig' and can you imagine the reaction to these two in the same show again. Alex Pettyfer Pros- looks the part and is well known (Beastly, Magic Mike, I am number four, Stormbreaker). Inspiration for Rhaegar in this fanart. Cons- The role is probably too small for him. This is also a new one I've seen suggested- Toby Regbo

But if he is fake - and I believe he is - he is not supposed to look like Dany. BTW, I think Bradley James would be a really bad pick for Rhaegar. Maybe it's because I just know him as Arthur, but he looks like your classic "jock" (for lack of a better word :D) type of character and has those kind of good looks. Rhaegar is supposed to be a melancholy prince with the unusual exotic Targaryen beauty, and James is really not that.

Although, he did well at pulling of the mature and regal act as he got into his later stuff (series 5) but I can't picture him being melancholy. Mos
Alex Pettyfer is not a particularly good actor, so I hope not. I think Aegon would be a perfect chance of casting someone really unknown.

Ser Tahu
Here are some common suggestions- Jaime Campbell Bower Pros- He was originally in the pilot of GoT and has already been in a medieval/fantasy based show where he acted the brash young noble (King Arthur). He is also fairly well known. cons- Some people criticise his acting. His major character role in The Mortal Instruments films means he might not have the time to commit to GoT depending on the franchises success. The Mortal Instruments film was a complete flop, to the point that the next movie has been delayed, I don't think that is an issue anymore. As for his acting, I believe GRRM said that he would like to see Bower return in 'a larger role' after he got recast, so even if his acting has been questionable in other things he was apparently quite good in the pilot. Robert Sheehan cons- can you imagine the reaction to these two in the same show again. HOW IS THAT A CON?!? Anyway, those two are my favourites for the role. Hangover of the Morning
Never seen him in anything aside few trailers but somehow I doubt he's a particular good actor. I'd rather have someone unknown but talented.

Ser Oromus Locke
The thing I have mostly with Bower and James, is that they both already played a Prince/King - lol, the same one actually.. And the worst part is, that the actual romantical Arthurian storyline is of the surprise heir that was lost, proving lineage and becoming the King that nobody saw coming.. What would Bower and James' role be? Aegon VI, the King nobody saw coming.. It's like these two have red flags written all over them, with their castings alone already signifying a lot of what they're expected to be doing on the show.. But of course the D&D aren't shying away from that.. They cast a roman emporer as a king after all..

Inspiration for Rhaegar in this fanart. Cons- The role is probably too small for him. Alex Pettyfer is not a particularly good actor, so I hope not. I think Aegon would be a perfect chance of casting someone really unknown. It's too early in the books to say that the role is too small for him. He could end up being a very prominent figure in the next two (or three if GRRM decides to extend the series) books. Also, I personally don't have any qualms with his acting ability, but he has picked some bad movies - too many teen-angsty movies. Maybe it's his age. GoT would be a good way to get out of that. Douglas Booth is another possible Aegon. He looks a bit like show-Dany to me.

Annara Snow
Benedict Cumberbatch as Aegon Which Aegon? Aegon the Conqueror, perhaps. Certainly not a dude claiming to be Rhaegar's 21-year old son (18-year old in the books). I know the show is practicing Dawson-casting a lot, but that would be ridiculous. JonCon's Red Beard
At this point, I would go with a blond wig and work for free. And you simply play along that I'm Aegon :/ And Arianna and Jon can be puppets.
