Here in the North East same thing, seemed like half a page of those type parties before getting to the votable ones. I think they were almost in order from most horrible right-wing ones at the top (BNP), down through all the variations in Min's quote, then the tories, a hiccup with Greens then Lib dem, labour, and ending up at the bottom with something like Trade Unionist and socialist alliance. Pebble thats Stubby Posted May 22, 2014 Share Posted May 22, 2014 Hey not all the weirdo party's looked like they where racist, I mean I could have voted for the Harmony party or Animal walfare party and I'm sure there was something with a name like Euro togther party (which unless I missed the NO sounded a bit too pro euro for the rest of the ballot paper) the local elections where fun though, 3 BNP, 3 EDL, 3 UKIP 1 England first, 2 Labour, 1 Conservitve, and 1 green candiatesWhich considering I needed to vote for 3 meant an unholy alliance of labour Conservate and green. I was sort of tempted to vote for them as a protest but had no guarantees that they weren't just another bunch of racists. Or are they just voting anti-main-parties? *psychology fail* I doubt many people have switched from Lib Dem to UKIP - although given the nature of the Lib Dems and their long campaign to court Conservative voters, some might have - rather, I suspect that the fall in their votes is due to low turnout or switches to individually negligible other left-wing protest parties. It does not have a website. Candidates: Fielding one candidate in south-east England only. They sound pretty awesome. I wonder if they mandate compulsory togas.
