Details most wanted in a World of Ice and Fire

Recommended Posts

Have people here read the excerpts including info on the Eyrie, the Pact, the Dornish Invasion, Dalton Greyjoy huge Red Kraken and the Faith Rebellions? Because no one seems to be discussing It, or are we not allowed to?

The excerpts are being discussed in seperate threads ;) This thread is really just a place to see which details people really want in TWOIAF

These excerpts are from unapproved previews, IIRC, and thus it is not allowed to discuss those here on the forums. Until the World Book is released, of course

I just mentioned it as they have answers to some of these questions, but we're not allowed to discuss it so there is the end of that, thanks though :)

Here's an interesting bit:

"Queen Rhaenyra possessed 15 dragons, including one named The Cannibal"

Rhaenyra's faction had Syrax and Caraxes, plus three for her strong sons, (5), plus Meleys (6), plus the hatchling Stormcloud who belonged to Aegon III (7). Baela rode Moondancer (8). Then there were three semi-wild and three wild dragons whom she nominally controlled. 8 + 6 = 14, not 15.

Ran has also said that there were four dragons who survived the Dance: Silverwing, The Cannibal, Sheepstealer, and an as-yet-unrevealed other dragon.

Like many of you, I think this is yet another tidbit pointing to Rhaenys of Pentos's dragon egg hatching in the Eyrie.

"The Valyrians are the only people of the world with eyes in shades of purple."

Um... What about the Daynes? GRRM said they are not Valyrians o.o

"Maegor the Cruel killed his wife Tyanna, cut out her heart w/ Blackfyre and threw it to the dogs!"

So it's confirmed that Tyanna was one of his many wives. But... why did he killed her :0

Geez. I want this book o.o

"People" as in "race". The Daynes are not a race.

Maybe the 15th dragon was some hatchling that did not survive, and is simply not mentioned in tPatQ. Or else HarperCollins are including somehow the other dragons in the Dragonpit that were killed during the assault on it, which belonged to Aegon II's faction.
