His dad was one of the physically strongest men, perhaps the strongest man in the Seven Kingdoms. Gendry's nickname is the Bull and he is the son of the Demon of the Trident and supposed to have his likeness but a smallish actor was cast. It would be like casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. I don't know his career, but it looks like he was slender once. Oh wait, that has already been done. I'd say you have to let this one go. Most of the people I talk to about Gendry go "oh the one with the glistening abs." He's pretty well-built. Besides, we haven't seen Bobby in any flashbacks, so it's not like he pales in comparison. And as others pointed out, take a look at Renly. I tried to find a pic of a young Addy to compare and I couldn't find. Anyway, Gendry does look like a maiden's fantasy...
