Honeyed Chicken and I have been corresponding and decided it would be easier to have two separate threads: one for voting for the next elimination game and one for ideas for games. It is meant to be a quick reference to refresh our memories on past games and ideas along with posting new ideas, preferably with a list. Anyways, I want Best location.Well I guess almost was a poor choice of words. In comparison to how long this particular game has taken (with the 60 entries) It's over half way done. I won't tally votes yet but so far we have locations, murder, story arc, battle/fight/duel, Targs, and I would go back to my old favorite: who will sit the IT. There hasn't been progress in days. Anyway, I'm between Murder Most Foul and the Targaryen one. I'll pick one as a certainty when we're ready to tally. honeyed chicken Posted July 14, 2014 Share Posted July 14, 2014 Over the weekend I added 3 new topics:- best dishes - from K26-dp and a starter list she made. I got pretty obsessed and spent literally hours scouring the five books for food references and came up with 50 +. I couldn't think of any in AFFC so none were from there. And in ADWD I got a couple from Tyrion's palanquin ride with Illyrio because I'm rereading that right now, but didn't go further in. So as over the top as the list is - it could be worse! :) - best actor - from an old Koba idea. Went to the wikipedia page and included everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrybody. 100 plus . . . yup. :lol: - best name - another old Koba idea. Did this one because I thought, "Heck that one should be easy to get started at least." So it's a quickie. Just the names I like off the top of my head. If we ever do this EG I would expect some lively give and take about who should or should not be on the list. It's one of those where if each of us made our own list there might be 5 names that are on every list. Or there might be none. It's a good topic in that way. There are also some really good new ideas that I badly want to make lists for, but lack the time (having spent what free time I did have making the above lists): - Ser Not Appearing in this book - from K26-dp. A really great idea about all the characters that get mentioned but never appear. Lyanna and Rhaegar and etc. Also Howland Reed. My challenge is sure we could easily hit 30 if we include the characters that were dead before the 5 books begin. But what about if we only include characters like Howland Reed - "We know you're out there! Come out and show your faces!" Are there 30 of those? And more to the point, are there 30 that anybody cares enough about to make a game interesting? Better include the dead ones I suppose. - Sweetest/cutest moment - from The Wolf Lord's Daughter. She suggests moments like Jon giving Needle to Arya. Arya and Gendry roughhousing at Acorn Hall. Pod looking for Tyrion after Tyrion's escape from KL.We don't get many positive ideas so I hope this one gets made and played. The Wolf Lord's Daughter just finished another one: Sweetest moment now has a full list. While the current EG does seem to stuck in the "wash" cycle with Cersei, Joff, LF, and Clegane going round and round, eventually things will settle out. It's on the list - or did you mean you saw it on the list and that's your favorite? Funny moment . . .well that's a problem. I have 4 9 (thanks Lyanna!) on the list. I can never remember any when I just sit here and try (unlike sweetest moment when four came to me - BAM! - in a second.). As I slowly reread the books I see them here and there and realize they do exist. I add them to the list immediately so I don't forget. But four . . .only. So it's going slow.
