So I was thinking about it, which fictional character's do you absolutely, do not want to fuck with. The type of character that is really just a force of nature that wins, period. Now granted it will come down to the author's writing style, as they are the creators of these character. This is to go across all medians, books, comics, tv, movies, video games. My one rule/request would be that you only pick 1 character per series, and please, specify where the character comes from and make your case, do not just list characters.

Top 3:

1: Mitch Rapp - The Mitch Rapp series by VInce Flynn - He is an experienced CIA counter terrorism specialist, in other words he kills terrorists. He is physical freak with a close to genius IQ whose only goal is to protect the United States from terrorism. His name alone instills fear in this enemies and can cause some of them to quit the game.

2: The Doctor - Doctor Who series - More specifically the 10th Doctor. Another that does want is necessary to win and is usually on the right side. Again, The Doctor is another character whose mere name will terrify his enemies and force them to reconsider their actions.

3: Minerva McGonagall - The Harry Potter Series - I know she kind of seems like ad odd choice here, and maybe I picked her partially in the hope of sparking more debate, but she certainly does fall into this category. Dumbelore might be more powerful and Voldemort  more evil, but McGonagall is plenty powerful and not a witch to be crossed. I list her her because I believe that her personality more so then that of Dumbeldore's lends her to this category more then him.

Honorable mentions: Batman, Jack Ryan, Dumbeldore, Tywin Lannister, Percy Jackson, Snape, Aragorn.

1. Tywin Lannister

I could sum it up in Pycelle's quote or give a link.

I'm referring to show and book Tywin here. I think this man has a lust for power, and he knows how to use it. He's driven, energetic, no "smiling lion" like his father Tytos. He knows how to rule a kingdom in the back of a king (as Hand) - and he proves that quite a lot. Along with the power comes his wealth - the wealth of House Lannister which also allows him to buy resources, be it material or human.

I think Pycelle's quote at his funeral - although the reader knows that he's a bit of a dummy for the Lannisters - sums it up quite nicely.

Tywin does not hesitate when it comes to defend his family or reach his goals *for* his family.

Although I always imagine other people when I read the books, Charles Dance does a great job.

And this is the link: Click me!

I could have chosen every other where he puts people in their places. But this one is quite - except for a few alterations - literally filmed as the scene is in the book, and I think it shows pretty much *how* Tywin works.

Tywin on family: click.

Tywin's achilles heel is his greatest goal: family.

2. Patrick Bateman

Patrick Bateman is a dangerous man. He's a psychopath - and a clear one that. I wouldn't go past him. A monster in a suit.

3. Professor Moriaty

Sherlock Holmes' nemesis at all times. He reminds Sherlock that evil can't be defeated for once and for all. And that's why he's not to be f*cked with.

McGonagall!

I was just thinking the other day how she is not to be fucked with, although that's probably because I finally got the movies on blu ray and Maggie Smith kicks ass.

Agreed, the right actor/actress can totally make a character one that is not to be fucked with.

1. Tywin Lannister

2. Patrick Bateman

3. Professor Moriaty

And congratulations. On the very first post, you fail to do the one thing I asked, which was to give an explanation for each character.

3) Caine, because if you piss him off he will swear revenge on you, and he's metaphysically incapable of lying about that.

2) Takeshi Kovacs, because he's very thin-skinned and trained by an interstellar diplomatic-military corps (basically moral-less Jedi) to both think and fight better than you. Plus, he can be reskinned in any body, so you never know who he is.

1) John Constantine, because he will fuck over anyone and everyone, and indeed everything, to fuck you up if he thinks he has to.

I know, I weep for the future.

You'd probably get more joy if you weren't such a moany shit about it.

Jean Valjean from LotR, because he shoots fireballs out of his eyes.

Sherlock Holmes from the Harry Potter series, because he's a samurai and laser gun specialist.

Count Pyotr Bezukhov from The Hunger Games, because he is immortal and there can be only one.

I wouldn't have to be a "moany shit" about it if people followed the one simple instruction. I still have no idea who those people are, save Constantine, who, I am guessing is the same Constantine that Keanu Reeves played, but I do not know if maybe there are others from different stories.

14) John Constantine because he's a stubborn old git who who is surprisingly capable of surviving all sorts of shit.

7)Roose Bolton because he's a creepy, dead eyed psychopath who's in equal parts cunning, intelligent and nasty.

1)Carrie
