BigFatCoward
http://www.sfx.co.uk/2014/04/18/son-of-the-morning-by-mark-adler-review/ i'd never heard of this until amazon recommended it. but after doing some digging i discovered that every review is the same, excellent. its basically the 100 year war, with angels and demons involved. its one of those books that once you start you know you will have to write off the rest of the weekend to get it finished, loving it so far. anybody else got it yet? Calibandar
I got it when it came out in the UK in April. One of the most anticipated Fantasy novels of the year, but no US release yet. I read the first few chapters and liked it a lot. Plan to continue reading as soon as I have some time ( and when it goes to the top of the pile, which has nothing to do with the quality of the book btw). Gaston de Foix
Yeah let me know when it comes out in the US. I'm half way through it. It's an interesting premise, and without giving too much away, the setting and the ideas dovetail very well with historical fact: Joan of Arc anyone? I've always been a sucker for atheism, heresy, apostasy and blasphemy in a medieval setting. The plotting and the characters lack the polish and development of a Abercrombie or a Lawrence, unfortunately. So it's a mixed bag so far.
lady narcissa
Yeah let me know when it comes out in the US.Same. Normally I would just order it from amazon.co.uk but it looks like there is only a paperback at 17 pounds available. Not willing to pay that much plus shipping for a paperback. I'll wait till its released here to try it.
Tehol
Is it part of a series? How many books are projected, any idea? I just don't want to get into new series, I am already stretched out as it is. Damn you fantasy writers, why can't you finish your story in single book or in trilogy at best.
