Androme
So far (I'm roughly halfway through the book), she has not been up to anything important, she hasn't come across anyone important, and nothing important happens around her, and the only interesting thing so far was when Randyll Tarly was dispensing justice Stannis-style. Why is she a PoV character again? Does it get better late on in the book?

SerArthurHeath
To show the effects of the war from a common perspective due to her journey after Arya has gone?
Androme
To show the effects of the war from a common perspective due to her journey after Arya has gone? That's an okay reason I guess. But if that is the only reason, I don't know...
Viserion12
I'm pretty sure Brienne meets the "high sparrow" on the road during her travels. This is obviously before he has been appointed to his position. I think he was leading around a group of sparrows, and they tried to convince her to come back to be a pious knight. Anyways...the point is I think she meets/introduces us to a lot of characters that are of importance to the story. Nobody is saying she has to meet the most important people in the world, but she connects a lot of dots for us. I also think she has an important role to play in the future. Who knows! Androme
...... Well....... Didn't quite expect that to happen :D:D:D, much better than the show though. I wonder if something similar will happen to her on the show.
UtherSnow
Without Brienne's eyes, what would you see? Her story with Jaime isn't done yet. They are a most unlikely couple as well. However, Jaime seems to be changing his view of her. Brienne is more a female version of him than Cersei than he's previously care to admit. Quite a few characters seem to be building up to ultimate tests, of loyalty or whatever. What's the most recognisable item being to Ned? Won't Lady Stoneheart wish to see Ice re-forged? Brienne to get Jaime to help find Joffrey's sword. Together with Jaime's that makes Ice.Has Gendry got the skill to work Valyrion Steel? Thought? Good Guy Garlan
In aFfC? Filler. Martin needed to increase that page count. She might be important in WoW, though
six
Filler? Bollocks. I'm sure that she's a POV because she's needed as a POV, otherwise I doubt grrm would have bothered. The argument is always that not much happens in her chapters, which first of all isn't entirely true and actually lots happens, and secondly you could wonder of many characters "why are they povs".
