If the chaser was any good... it would be over. if the chased was any good... it would be over. WoW 116 minutes of nothing actually happening.... at a high rate of speed. Commodore
I was prepared to hate it, but the trailer changed my mind. Well it's made by the same guy who made Mad Max 2, he still owns the rights to the franchise I think. Now he has the budget to do it right. Supposedly there is very little CGI. http://herocomplex.latimes.com/movies/mad-max-fury-road-george-miller-on-car-crashes-tom-hardys-animal-magnetism/#/0 What a waste of the brilliant Tom Hardy... Sort of agree, but Gibson only had a dozen lines or so in the original.

all swedes are racist
Yeah, I dunno. Road Warrior is one of my favorite movies, so I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic, but I feel like this is going to end up being too... I dunno, Zac Snyder if that makes sense. The trailer seemed to hint at a lot of slo-mo super human jumping Kung-fu type shit.... A little too much "style", less dirt and grit

Wise Fool
I was hoping for Mel Gibson to reprise the role for Fury Road, on which he gets pulled over for drunk driving and makes some controversial statements. Oh well. This looks tentatively good though,
Slurktan
What a waste of the brilliant Tom Hardy... Tom Hardy supposedly has 16 lines. Mel Gibson had 16 lines in the Road Warrior, one of which is repeated. Mel Gibson is awesome in the Road Warrior. Odd timing for this as I just watched the Road Warrior again this afternoon. I'm wondering when this new one takes place in the story;like in between Mad Max and RW or between RW and Thunderdome. In either case where does he get a "new" version of his car as this one is seemingly destroyed in the trailer and it was also destroyed in RW. polishgenius
What a waste of the brilliant Tom Hardy... If anything, it's a brilliant use of the brilliant Tom Hardy - he's not one of those actors who needs to be speaking to be acting. I haven't seen the original (:o) but that looks pretty great. Matrim Fox Cauthon
So basically a remake of Road Warrior but brought in line with Michael Bay and the Borderlands video games?
Shryke
Uh, Borderlands aesthetic is ripped straight from Mad Max and I'm not seeing where the Michael Bay reference is coming from. Looks like it could be good and George Miller has done a good movie of this type before, so I'm hopeful.

Snyder would have been shot on a lot with green screens. Looks fun. Not sure I'd see it in the theaters but something I'd definitely want to see at some point. Arthmail
I thought it looked great. It has the aesthetic appeal of the first movies, plus it has Tom Hardy. This is the type of role made for him. He was great in Warrior, with Joel Edgerton, because he has that ability to convey hulking anger or hurt or what have you without saying a word. I like the look, and I like that I'm not looking at endless amounts of CGI.
Fez
Chase scenes are two people... or a combination of groups and people not doing things very well... If the chaser was any good... it would be over. if the chased was any good... it would be over. WoW 116 minutes of nothing actually happening.... at a high rate of speed. Kind of like a trip to Walmart on the highway. Clearly you never saw 'The Chase' with Charlie Sheen and Kristy Swanson. Anyway, I'm not sure what I feel about the trailer yet. The effects look cool at least. I'm fine with the 16 lines thing though. As stated before, he only has 16 lines in The Road Warrior, and I'm pretty sure he says even less than that in the original Mad Max (and entirely monosyllabically at that). Its only in Beyond Thunderdome that the character ever starts talking more, and that's by far the worst of the original trilogy.
