Caspe1412
The Seven Kingdoms are a feudal society, and many of the main characters of "A Song of Ice and Fire" are noble-born. But the common people are the great majority of the people who live in Westeros, and some of them appear as important characters. Here's some of them: Hot Pie Gendry Hodor Old Nan Shae Rorge Biter Bronn (although he becames a Knight within the story) Anguy Marillion Mikken Farlen Lommy "Greenhands" Tobho Mott Pyp, Grenn, Dolorous Edd, Chett, Small Paul, Dareon (I don't know if they can be called "smallfolk" after joining the Night's Watch) Wildlings like Ygritte, Tormund, Orell, Harma Dogshead, Varamyr Sixskins, etc are also smallfolk And many more. They are the basis of the society of Westeros, the lowest part of the Pyramid and by far the most populous. I personally like Eddison Tollett very much, the guy is very cool. Pod The Impaler
Probably Davos. Stannis may have elevated him to his Hand, but the guy still thinks like a smuggler from Flea Bottom. Gendry also, but this may be over the dividing line, because he's a royal bastard, but doesn't know it.

Blackfyre Gateau
Yeah if we're taking titles/ contemporary status out of the equation, then without a doubt it would be Davos for me.
