Lightbringer

ok. I just had a phiphany when I was rereading the second book of Song of Ice and Fire. Melisandre was talking about "in ancient book of Asshai it is written that there will come a day after a long summer when the stars lead and a cold breath ofdarkness falls heavy on the world. In this dread n hour a warrior shall draw from the fire is burning sword. And that sort shall be light bringer, the red sword of heroes, and He Who clasps it shall be Azor Ahai come again, and the darkness shall flee from him."

And I it hit me. Dragonglass... Nobody know how it is made. but I have a feeling that it requires fire of a dragon to make it. Note that dragonglass is a weakness of whitewalkets. what if... Dany's dragon put ablaze to something, like glass or ice or metal or...a sword. Jon would pull it out and its lightbringer that is made of dragonglass.

it makes sense right?

yes. But in this story we don't know how COTF made it. So its made of volcanoes' fire but msybe dragon's fite too. I don't think it is coincidences that people addressed it more as dragonglass. GRRM would not address it such without having a meaning behind it.

Mel has got her wires crossed. Stannis thinks he's got Lightbringer.

Find where Aemon asks to 'see' Stannis' sword. Sam describes it in good detail too.

Mel's even admitted that she does not read the flames correctly all the time. She does make mistakes.

Stannis does seem to have a sword made of Valyrion Steel. However, all that shimmers doesn't always shake.

Azor Ahai ultimately tempered Lightbringer by sacrifice of the one he loved. Who does Stannis really love? Selyse? No. Shireen? No. I don't see any love between him and Mel either. Stannis pulled his sword from flames. Shouldn't a flaming sword be going the other way, as in being plunged into someone, something?

Dragonglass is too brittle for a sword. It words against Wights but, it shatters into shards when used. (Sam knows this.) It will prove to be useless against The Others who will be very powerful beings, full of Old Magic.

Lightbringer is only part of the weaponry needed to defeat them. Aren't there tales of an Ice Dragon?

Stannis's sword glows due to an illusion put in place by Mel, not because it's actually a special sword. I also don't think it's Valyrian steel.

Also, Sam killed an Other, not a Wight.

The CotF didn't "make" dragonglass. They made daggers and arrowheads from it, the same way native americans did. "Flint knapping" isn't just for flint..
