Arya and Missandei?

If Arya stays on with the Faceless Men for at least the first half of Winds of Winter (which I think she will), I have a theory that she will make some serious sacrifices to level up with them. In return for her efforts, despite the great danger posed by her interior struggle, the Kindly Man will assign her to infiltrate Daenerys' army as it heads towards Westeros. I also think it's very, very possible (and also mega disturbing) that Arya will scope out Missandei, kill her, and take her face. Boom, Dany at Arya's…..mercy.Thoughts?

It would certainly make Arya/ Mercy learning all those languages seem more rational, if that's the long-game.

But my instinct is Arya's heading towards KL, via the Vale, ostensibly to prosecute the agenda of an FM client such as the Iron Bank, but really to reap her own whirlwind of vengeance.

I don't see the point of intersecting her arc with Dany. Unfortunately the latter character seems to have a 'bye' in terms of plot gifts and amazing survival routines. Much as I'd love a grand late series twist like Dany dying unexpectedly, it's not really on the cards.

It wouldn't have to be that she was out to kill Daenerys, specifically, just to get all her secrets and those of her inner circle for the FM's purposes, whatever those are (I still have zero idea).

Well, you can't rule it out, especially given events at the Citadel in Oldtown, but for me hiring the Faceless Men to be glorified Whisperers seems like a waste of very, very considerable coin. They are a super-elite assassin's guild. I'm sure there will be others of Varys' ilk in Essos who can generate intelligence 'almost by magic'.

That's certainly true. But how coordinated with Varys are the Faceless Men?

the faceless men hate dragons?......OMG I must have missed it.....where is it said so...

They were slaves to the dragon lords. Praying for death to come everyday while working in the mines if Valyria. If anyone has a bone to pick with dragons, it's them.

I don't think FM like being payed dragon eggs for their worth. It's to get rid of them for sure and certain.

I personally doubt the FM hate dragons themselves. Dragons are just animals that are not inherently violent towards humans, much like many other predators in our world, if for no other reason we really don't have a high meat to bone ratio.

Its not the dragons they hate, but what they represent. Power and destruction. Could you imagine if the maesters never poisoned all the dragons? They would all be Balerions size and he had a huge appetite I'm sure.

I doubt they like eating people, but a starving dragon would feel the same as a starving dog. Eat what it can.

Hard to say what their views on Dany and her dragons will be. On one hand, they hate dragons, otoh Dany is using her dragons to FIGHT slavery. Not to enforce it.

Problem is that while Dany is certainly anti-slavery, they have no guarantee that whoever controls her dragons after her death will be. I'm sure the FM know of the Targaryen's past. They may kill the dragons as a prevention method.

As for Arya killing Missandei, I don't think their paths will intersect until Arya finally reveals herself as Arya Stark to the rest of the world, so I don't think there will be any need to kill Missandei. That said, this theory's a lot tamer than the "Arya is going to kill Sansa/Alayne" one. I mean, what?
