John Doe
Either a Game of Thrones or a Dance with Dragons, imho.
Dornish Vinegar
Minority opinion, but Feast hands down.

Good Guy Garlan
I'm in the minority, I'm sure, but A Clash of Kings
John Doe
ADWD came up with Aegon ex machina, though, so I'd choose AGOT.

Steelborn
The first, A Game of Thrones hands down. I love the pace and the big journey of Storm, though it's not my favourite nor second one.
Damp Hair - The Prophet
A Game of Thrones is classic and the most like a complete novel--beginning/middle/end. I like the detective/mystery element w/ Ned in Kingslanding. It makes for a solid structure.A Storm of Swords really builds & builds and honestly may be one of the best sci/fi/fantasy books of all time. Incredibly satisfying. I've got a soft spot in my heart for Feast Really though, I think it's all about the POV chapters. You can skip around all the books to follow your favorite characters and occasions. Pelagius Dayne
A storm of Swords. Hands down. Followed by ACOK then AGOT, then AFFC/ADWD ( which run more or less paralelly)

Snoop Arryn
Tough to pick one over others. I think I'd have to say Clash of Kings.
Tyrion the Perfect
ASOS. Without it, I doubt there is a TV series ( which is great because then I wouldn't have been perfected).
Luthien Targaryen
I think it's Clash, but that may just be because it's what I happen to be on at the moment, although the first half of Storm is a strong contender. Clash has some really excellent stuff in it, even if it's not got the big reveals and bloodbaths in it.
