A question regarding Cersei's storyline in season 5

Who do you think wil fill the role of Osney Kettleback in season 5? Some people have sugested that it will be Meryl Trant, but I don't think he's young or handsome enough to be chosen by Cersei to try to seduce Margeory. I think it will be Lancel, that way he can also be the one tortured by the High Sparrow. As Jaime is going to Dorne instead of the Riverlands, Lancel won't be needed to leave King's Landing.

I can't see Margaery finding Lancel attractive, hell I can't even see Cersei even ever wanting to touch Lancel again

I just think they're going to cut Cersei seducing people on the show....idk how but i think they will

I don't know. Otherwise, what's the reason for the WoS? Just sleeping with Lancel?

From the existing characters, it has to be either Lancel or Qyburn and I don't see anyone gambling on Qyburn seducing Margery. Meryl Trant is headed for Braavos, so I'd cross him out.

Or... they could use that man-whore of LF who used to sleep with Loras and Oberyn. Maybe he's bisexual or he simply thinks business is business (until it's torture time, though).

Littlefinger's male prostitute had a scene in season 4 in which he explained to Oberyn that he had no sexual interest in women. That is pretty much the only thing we know about his character. So he's not sleeping with Cersei in season 5. But I think Cersei might try to get him to testify that he's had threesomes with Margery and Loras or something like that (a replacement for the blue bard from the books). That would be kind of interesting, since he is actually linked with Loras, Margery was open to threesomes with Loras and Renly, and the male prostitute is associated with Littlefinger (maybe Littlefinger lets Cersei know about the Loras connection, or maybe Cersei is attacking Littlefinger as well as the Tyrells).

I don't think we'll see show Cersei sleeping with anybody new in season 5. I think Lancel will testify about their relationship, I think she'll face fresh suspicions about Robert's death and her relationship with Jaime, and some of Cersei's season 5 scheming will blow up in her face.

I also don't think Cersei will sleep with anyone in the new season. What will probably happen is that she will have a fallout with Jaime about Tyrion. Then she will send him away to Dorne, since she is in charge now. And her argument with Jaime will serve as a catalyst for her ''madness''. After that she will spiral from one bad decision to another and one of those will trigger the walk of shame. Either lies against Margaery will be enough or the show will come up with something new.

Alternatively, since the showrunners seem to love Cersei, she will do nothing wrong and get betrayed by the high septon who will frame her for something.

well I think Lancel will definitely confess to the high septon that they slept together......

I'm not entirely sure Cersei won't seduce people on the show, but I agree that none of the existing characters really make sense.

Cersei's promiscuity from the books isn't really a part of her show character's personality, true, but I think she may still sleep with someone (possibly a newly introduced member of the KG in a minor role) as an act of revenge against Jaime. Some fans are saying that their fallout won't happen, because she appeared to reconcile with him in "The Children," but IIRC Jaime's parting of the ways from Cersei didn't really manifest itself in the books until AFFC, when Cersei was trying to consolidate power and Jaime was more about "let's live honest lives and run away together and tell our kids the truth." I can still see their falling out happening, as Cersei told Jaime that she does truly love him, yet she's going to become (re)obsessed with holding power and destroying Tyrion immediately after Tywin's death.

Of course, Olyvar could work as well if Cersei just pays him to lie about seducing Margaery. And that's interesting because he is linked to Littlefinger, and let us not forget, the Kettleblacks are as well.

And remember the High Sparrow is still a new character, so unless D&D have the old high septon die of natural causes or just retcon/ignore it, Cersei still gets arrested for taking out a hit on the head of the Faith.

I wouldn't go that far; ShowCersei has done more than her fair share of horrible things. But I would worry about Season 5 being stuffed with depressing monologues that aim to make her a sympathetic or at least pitiable figure, but which backfire and make her more annoying than despicable. You know, the problem with ShowCersei for the past four seasons.

Probably the male prostitute who works for LF, I doubt they'll bring in any new characters to fill the role because to the show he won't have enough significance. I hope they don't use Lancel, mainly because him "finding God(s)" is one of the funniest things in AFFC (or is it ADWD?) and I'd love to see that play out... chances are they'll cut that and keep using Lancel.

Alternatively, they'll use Lancel and still do his piety storyline: he'll confess but becoming a man of the Seven means he'll be forgiven for his fornications.

Plus she denied the people of King's Landing the leftovers of the feast.

I'm sure she also had some puppy kicked, she ordered some murderings and had a kid pushed out of a window for her.

But I understand that in 20th/21st american visual fiction that is something the good guys do, from mafia lords to California governors.

(Ok, excluding the puppy kicking, you are right. Pacino and Schwartzeneger didn't kick any puppy in their movie career. But neither did Cersei Lannister!)

:)

I don't think it will me Trant. I think he'll be the one Arya "encounters" in Braavos when they dod the Mercy chapter early. I don't see it being Lancel either, though. Not sure who.

Show Cersei smiled as Oberyn's face got caved in...that's not a nice person.

Nice and sympathetic aren't synonymous ;) My point was that the show is much more aggressive than the books in trying to give Cersei moments where one can feel sympathy or pity for her, and IMO, most of those efforts backfire and come off as annoying or runtime padding.
