What can we expect from the Season 4 "Histories & Lore"?

Recommended Posts

I tried to post this a few weeks back but it didn't clear. Anyway:

The "Histories & Lore" videos are my favorite extras in the Game of Thrones Blu-ray releases, and I love how much they add to the viewing experience. But I'm not sure what they can do for this season, aside from House Martell and Dorne in general. Perhaps Oberyn will discuss Dorne's view on Robert's Rebellion.

What do you expect/hope to hear from in the H&L videos?

I guess we'll get Meereen, Dorne, some other characters viewpoints about Robert's Rebellion (although we're starting to have some of all the relevant characters there), perhaps something on Moat Cailin, the Thenns, Castle Black, House Arryn (dont remember if we already got that one), Valyrian Steel...

Yeah, I figured a Meereen discussion would be in there, but I like the Moat Cailin/Thenns/Castle Black/Valyrian Steel (especially after seeing Ice melted down to Oathbreaker and Widow's Wail) ideas.

I canNOT wait to hear Pedro Pascal's accent narrating the history of Dorne.

I'm also interested to see if that particular narration sheds any light on how the show is going to handle female inheritance. So far there have been no mentions of it on the show, and that's leading many people to speculate whether or not D&D have cut that aspect of Dorne entirely.

If they have, they're fucking cowards. Im sorry, but it's true.

I was thinking about this the other day, there will probably be one about Old Ghis and Meereen and maybe even the fighting pits (to build up for S5), and obviously a lot of Dorne: The Rhoynar Migration, Nymeria, Robert's Rebellion and of course the murder of Elia and her children and how much the Dornish hate the Lannisters for it.

We will definitely see something about Braavos and the Iron Bank, I hope Stephen Dillane is the one narrating it.
