GOT hair

I've got long hair and love playing around with the waves/curl styles the actresses on GOT wear. But.. I'm very curious as to how the stylist gives Cersei the incredibly perfectly aligned waves. I googled it, actually. And.. I found an interview where the stylist claims a bunch of scrunch/gel type products then proceeds to lie through his teeth about how he "scrunches the wigs" to make those waves. ha ha ha. not.

Most gals that do these hair styles know there is no way to make waves like that simply by scrunching. I have a specific iron I use to make those type of waves but am curious if anyone else on here has an iron that may work better? Mine is a conair 3 wave wand. While I love it, I really would like to purchase different wave sizes. Any other chickadees on here use one to get waves? Which type? :)

I found this on Cersei's wig:

Plus Cersei's wig doesn't have any chemical processing at all. The wig maker sourced individual colors and strands of hair, which were then individually knotted onto a lace cap for her golden blonde blend. The wigs are then carefully maintained; at night they're put on custom made blocks in the shape of the actresses' heads. They treat it like actual hair. Every few days they're washed, styled and set--the team uses Wella products, and Cloud Nine rollers and The Wand.

I don't know why but that made me nauseous.
