Equilibrium
Many people in their devotion to the North and Dorne, and Iron Isles, forget the paradise that is Reach. It's envisioned as the perfect medieval county, with chivalrous knights, beautiful ladies, content people. Land of rich harvests, infinite celebrations and and leisure for everybody to enjoy both quiet peaceful life and all the extravagance it can offer on it's peak. Also it's center of court culture, art and music, but of religion and science too, which are more then lofty titles for one part of Westeros to hold. Convince me, if you please. :wideeyed: Gladly my friend! I think this poster makes a good case for the Tyrell's being masterful plotters beyond even what the reader initially thinks, if not an ironclad one for Mace personally. Archmaester Drew
Oldtown is the cultural center of Westeros with thousands of years of history, and a temperate climate far from any Other issues. Whereas, King's Landing is a cesspit of intrigue and inequity. I'm glad I live in Oldtown! ;)

Julia Martell
Oldtown definitly seems to be the bed administrated city in Westeros, and with the best infrastructure. No doubt about it. Does the Reach have it's own identity, like the Vale, or the North do?
Dornish Vinegar
The Reach definitely gets points for having one of the least dysfunctional House Paramounts! ...And cough their lands sound pretty beautiful too cough cough...

I think they think of chivalry, court love and court culture as their identity copied by everybody else, like France or Burgundy did.
