Slurms McKenzie
How are you today? Mmm, I see, yes.I wish to advocate the use of Extremely Large and Luxurious Airships in favour of plane travel. Hello, I'm Slurms. Allow me to state the case: 1. It wouldn't be boring. Planes are boring.2. It would be less pollutive. 3. You can walk around. None of that inhibition of blood circulation. 4. Better food. A restaurant can be installed with tables and everything. Also the need for chefs and staff will generate employment opportunities. 5. You can have private cabins. Easier for hanky-panky and rumpy-pumpy to help those hours fly by. 6. You can sleep in the private cabins too, for the especially long journeys. 7. Better bathroom facilities. More of them too.8. Easier to enjoy the scenery. Perhaps even an observation deck, with a glass floor, for entertainment value. A very thick and sturdy glass floor mind you.9. The journey may be slower but there will be entertainment like on a cruise ship. Even shops maybe, which will generate income for the Airship line. Also more jobs.10. For the very long journeys to Australia for example, the slowness of the Airship can be rectified by strapping a pair of rockets to the underside. 11. It can even have a little prison and jailors. For brown people and terrorists. In conclusion, I believe Airship travel to be much superior to plane travel. The motto shall be: "We have it all". Much haste should be made to establish Airship lines around the world.

eyenon15
Sounds like a cruise ship for the sky, you'd have to pitch it as a luxury type thing. Unless you plan on charging the same rates as regular air travel.People will still travel the old way if it gets them there faster.
Slurms McKenzie
Unless it were banned... But no, it would be a luxury thing, travel in comfort and arrive in style

Slurms McKenzie
A commune? Why?On the other hand, you could advertise it as: Air Titanic: The Incredible City of Amazing Flying Anarcho-Syndacalists! Floating above your very heads! Gillio
I agree with Theda, "Air Titanic" is not suitable, before you ask, neither is "Dracarys". and "Cersei's Grace" would be too easy to fall from.

I've been waiting for this opportunity ever since I first read Moorcock's "Nomad in the Time Stream" series. Nestor Makhno shall ride again on wings of highly combustible hydrogen! Slurms McKenzie
The Dove BoatExciting and new Hmm I do like it. But it doesn't have much gravitas. It needs to be James Earl Jones'd up a bit.
