Game Of Thrones
Why didn't Jaime tell anyone the real reason he killed Aerys and the pyromancers?

JonCon's Red Beard
Because he's a whiny, immature, and entitled brat. well... he was 17. Who isn't whiny, immature and entitled at that age?
Equilibrium
He didn't think it would matter because it would come of as a weak excuse and no one can verify his story.
HouseRowsdower
I've never understood why he didn't. He tells Brienne that he said nothing because no one would have believed him, but at the same time, why wouldn't he at least try? Maybe he secretly kind of liked the extra attention he garnered from being the Kingslayer. Even though he was reviled, he was also feared, and he knew he'd be immortalized forever in stories because of what he'd done in King's Landing. He also knew the real reason he did it, and because there were no witnesses, like Equilibrium said, no one can verify the wildfire story, however believable it might be thanks to Aerys's madness and obsession with fire. LordStoneheart
well... he was 17. Who isn't whiny, immature and entitled at that age?And in his thirties was still bitter about Eddard judging him. :)"by what right does the wolf judge the lion?"Every right. The lion put himself in a situation that he had to explain and he chose not to because Eddard saw it all without the context and understandably made an assumption. It was up to Jaime to explain himself but he didn't. So his complaints about being judged are really stupid to me.
LordStoneheart
Also, since he didn't tell anyone about the wildfire caches and could have, it rules out the "no one would have believed me!!" excuse

Rhaenys_Targaryen
Who would he tell? Tywin? Tywin had just sacked the city, and despite Jaime's believe that Tywin would not have harmed children, Rhaenys and Aegon had been killed in a horrible way, just as Elia was. Tywin knowing about the wildfire would not be a good idea, ;) Robert? I don't think that Jaime had such a high opinion of Robert, and it did not get better over the years. Ned? Ned wouldn't even have wanted to listen to him, and even though he could have told Ned, Ned would have acted to Jaime the same way he did when he didn't know.. To Ned, Jaime had broken his vows as a KG, and thus was dishonourable.
Blackfish Tully
He didn't think it would matter because it would come of as a weak excuse and no one can verify his story. there were still a couple of Pyromancers alive that would have confessed to the plot plus there were thousands of barrels of wildfire all around the city that were evidence to the plot. Mark Antony
there were still a couple of Pyromancers alive that would have confessed to the plot plus there were thousands of barrels of wildfire all around the city that were evidence to the plot.Exactly. He could and should have told Ned but Jaime was being a poopy baby.
Lion of the West
Because he couldn't show them exactly where this wildfire would've been and without that kind of proof they wouldn't care about what he said, and possibly not even with proof. Dorian Martell
Because up to the point where he killed Rossart and Aerys he was still dutifully performing his king's guard duty. All this about him being whiny and young and lions and wolves and being judged by Eddard is fluff
Prince of the North
Why didn't Jaime tell everyone about the wildfire plot? Because, if he did, then he wouldn't be Jaime ;)

sj4iy
Either way, he broke his vow. A good and justifiable excuse is still an excuse.
Trigger Warning
He'd rather let them continue to ridicule him as the Kingslayer than to try and justify himself to men that are judging him. That's why he's so bothered about Ned coming in when he's sat on the Iron Throne.
