No Bran or Hodor? [likely spoilers]

Winteriscoming.net is reporting that Isaac directly says that he is filming for the upcoming season of the show. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if Hodor was absent, but Bran still had a couple scenes. After he arrives at the cave in the book I don't believe there is any mention of the other characters traveling with him. It's just him and BR.

There are several mentions of Hodor, Meera, and Jojen after Bran arrives at the cave. He skinchanges into Hodor to explore the cave, for example.

But are mentions of Hodor significant enough to include him in the show this season? They obviously didn't think Jojens time in the cave was important. So I don't know that Hodor is needed for this season, Bran will pretty much be travelling through the trees and sitting still, no need for Hodor at all. If we get a look at the cave then Meera is there for that exploration.

Bran is going to look too old when we next see him - they should shoot Bran's conclusion (even if they don't show it yet) before the actor changes too much physically. You know, like how they shot LotRs in one year and released over 3.

How do know that George will not age Bran up by five years or so in Winds and Dream?

Well, he might - but of all the actors in the show Bran has been showing the most rapid physical change to me. From Season 1 to Season 4, he looks like he has grown from 8 - 16, not 11-15 (as I think he has IRL).

None of the 'child actors' look like children to me, not even Arya.

Probably not. But I'm sure people will be wondering why a character that has been prominent in Bran's story since the beginning of the show is suddenly nowhere to be found when there's nowhere for the character to go. I find this decision, along with many others they've been making, to be incredibly baffling.

The last time he did that it resulted in him scrapping almost an entire book. It seems very unlikely that there will be a 5 year gap after he struggled with that very problem and those that resulted from choosing to get rid of it for 10 years.

So a 13-year old, a 12-year old and a 10-year old didn't look like children to you?

You are aware that they were the exact ages their characters were supposed to be?

Well..... if you mean the characters in the books, that now seems a total glitch in the visual narrative.

I reject that construct and substitute my own.

As I have said to me and to my unsullied viewer friends it is obvious the actors are visually NOT the characters ages.

It confuses me and my friends and totally strains our credulity.

It is a degree of suspension of disbelief to which I am not willing to go.

Besides , as has been noted, George has given us an Arya in Mercy who just flat appears aged up.

Bran did look like a boy to me at the start - but I agree that none of the others looked like children, even in Season 1.

None of the Stark kids are going to be re-cast.

My take is that the show runners have made a mistake and still have time to correct the narrative.

In the show, in the first episode, Sansa was 13, Bran was 10, and Ary a was in between (so, either 11 or 12).

During the shooting of the first aired episode, Sophie Turner was 13, Massie Williams 12, and Isaac Hempstead Wright 10.

If you are saying they didn't look those ages (?), you are basically complaining that "Reality is not realistic enough".

Technically in season 1 the actors were aged 14, 13 and 11 when it was filmed in late 2010, unless you are referring to the pilot, which was filmed a whole year earlier (and a few scenes from there survive, such as Sansa speaking to Cersei in episode #1). Not that that's a huge difference.
