Lopsang
The world has presumed Rickon dead. How does he know about him and Osha and if he were to find out, why didn't he take Rickon before he got to Skagos? Perhaps Manderly tried to forge an alliance with the Skagosi and they told him about Rickon?
Narvi
Wex, Theons mute squire. He just knows it's one of the stark boys not exactly who. He hid in the heart tree in the godswood during the burning of Winterfell. Ended up following Osha and Rickon. He is aware that both boys are alive though. King Tyrion XX
The ADWD where Manderly has Wex is showing Davos something and they explain how they got the story from him.
SunflashJT
The previous two responses can't explain it better. Although I am surprised that the OP didn't get that from reading the book.
Septa Mordane
More importantly, why is Osha taking a six-year-old boy to an island of cannibals? Is that where she's from? I thought they were supposed to find one of Stark's bannermen...

No reason to go spewing hate because I forgot something. I'm sure that you haven't memorized every single detail of this 5,000 page series either. Anyways, thanks for everybody for reminding me. I thought they were supposed to find one of Stark's bannermen... she is a wildling from north of the wall. the skagosi are bannermen of the starks (it is mentioned in affc that there was a rebellion a hundred years ago, but it was surpressd by the starks). the cannibalism is a rumor, it is said that there once was cannibalism long ago and people seem to assume there still is, but there is no proof at all. LordManderlyAsDragonRider
I do wonder how Manderly got the information from wex..you stumble over a mute Ironborn boy and decide to figure out some way to question him? Why would you try? How would they questions turn to Rickon and Bran? why would you trust him? So many questions..
