It is just me? but the urge to slap D&D is so strong the only kingdom where the first born is rule no matter that she or he. All the females in kingdoms are push back well maybe not Asha but because Theon was being raise in Winterfell which it was not his fault by the way. but people who have read the books knows what happening on Iron Islands.

Because almost everyone hated Arianne and Quintin's fool brained schemes, and the connected characters.

Whoa there, speak for yourself!

But yeah, OP, there's a whole thread dedicated to this on the GoT subforum, titled No Arianne Martell?? or something like that. You'll find that many people share your displeasure :)

So instead they give us Trystane, at best an obvious non-identity, at worst a Medieval Teen Hunk created by D&D for an imagined target audience?

To me, the Dornish plot was ruined from the moment they omitted the equal primogeniture in Season 4. And this recent change didnt help make things better.

Its a shame. I was really looking forward to the Dornish plot. With these changes, I have another reason to stop watching the show.

Almost everyone? I'd bet Everyone would disagree with you in regards to Arianne. She's a well-liked character in general, as far as I'm aware.

Trystane doesn't even appear in the books! He's obviously Medieval Teen Hunk, and not a very good one IMO. Are they stripping him as well?

Because people get confused when a person has good qualities, bad qualities and a vagina all at the same time. It short-circuits their brains and they confused and angry.

(Read: the treatment of Cat, Cercei, Dany, Sansa, Arya, and Brienne in the fandom)

You're usually only allowed two out of three, I guess. :)

But yes. The Martells have some very strong supporters on this forum, and to our credit we're not blind to any of their faults. And we share your feelings. Believe me. The show doesn't seem to get that a person can be into sexy times but also quite often think about things that are not sex, especially if they have a vagina.

As far as I can tell, they're desperately trying to repeat their success with Oberyn Martell with the Sand Snake, seemingly without understanding why people liked him, and they're trying to please some demographic or other by giving us a cutesy Trycella love story.
